• A Business Process Effectiveness Review (BPER) Initiative is required that will outline, document and integrate internal business processes while also setting baseline metrics for key performance indicators (KPIs) and reviewing overall alignment with stakeholder expectations. In addition, technology capabilities will be reviewed leading to an updated IT Strategy that is aligned with current requirements.• In order to shorten the time to execute the BPER initiative, ABC CO. is leveraging external resources and as such has asked for consulting assistance.•YourConsultingCo is therefore proposing to provide consulting assistance to ABC CO. with the BPER program.•This document outlines the YourConsultingCo approach to the consulting assignment.

THE BPER DELIVERABLES :
PHASE 1 - PROCESS VALIDATION : A list of current business processes will be prepared and validated with the Unit Heads, indicating key transaction triggers, transaction activities and stakeholder outcomes. A stakeholder-process matrix will be prepared, to show the business relevance and priority of each process.
PHASE 2 – PERFORMANCE MODELLING: Business objects and management controls will be identified. The 'As-Is' business models will be documented while continuous improvement options will be identified. Performance metrics and KPIs will be outlined, and current performance standards recorded. Limiting factors and other constraints against performance will be noted. Personnel will be required to identify and make improvement suggestions for performance-related challenges / issues. A one-day workshop could be held to obtain consensus and create team cohesion.

THE BPER DELIVERABLES :
PHASE 3 – IT STRATEGY REVIEW – The ABC CO. IT Strategy will be reviewed in line with current business imperatives. The current information technology architecture will be appraised, and gaps identified within front-office (CRM, e-Commerce/Web opportunities), back-office (database opportunities) and collaboration and /or inter-enterprise (operations/workflow/document management opportunities) components. A list of IT and non-IT initiatives required will be produced. A skills audit of the IT personnel will be undertaken to identify training and other capability enhancement requirements. A key output of this phase will be the current applications portfolio of ABC CO., applications gap and required applications, delivered with recommendations and business justifications. Lastly, a roadmap / IT implementation program will be developed consisting of operational and financial estimates.

•YourConsultingCo will adopt international consulting techniques for the BPER assignment.
