Life has never been easy in Mega-City One but, with Blood on the Streets, it is about to get a lot tougher!

With Blood on the Streets, you will now have a new way to fight in Mega-City One, the Cursed Earth and beyond, with a new range of scenarios tailored specifically to each force. These allow you to play games that reflect the comics and the activities your force will typically be getting up to. For example, you can now play:

• Judges rushing to extract an informant from a criminal gang before he is rumbled.

• Citi-Def soldiers conducting a weapons test on a rival block.

• Apocalypse War Resistance fighters engaging in a midnight raid on enemy positions using bat gliders.

• Sky Surfers practising for the next Supersurf competition.

• A mob war between organised crime syndicates.• The Angel Gang rescuing captured family members.• Chief Judge Cal using Klegg mercenaries to hunt

down traitors.• Cursed Earth Desperadoes holding a fort against all-

comers.

Amongst many, many others.

Blood on the Streets also includes rules for all the latest releases in the Judge Dredd miniatures range, including Max Normal, Grampus, Shamed Judges, and full force lists for the Judda, Klegg Invasion Forces, Mechanismo Strike Forces and the ABC Warriors.

If that were not enough, there are new Talents, allowing you to further specialise your Heroes, Judges and psychics with truly awesome feats of skill and ability.

Welcome to Blood on the Streets. Mega-City One has never been deadlier.

INTRODUCTION

USING THE SCENARIOSThe new scenarios in Blood on the Streets are divided into two main sections – Standard Scenarios for use with any force, and those dedicated to specific forces.

When a challenge is made during a campaign, instead of the challenger simply selecting a scenario to be used, as described in the core rulebook, he now instead rolls on the Standard Scenario table to determine which scenario will be played. If the scenario calls for an attacker, that role will be taken by the challenger.

However, either player may instead announce he wishes to roll on the scenario table specific to his force. In this case, both players must roll a die, with the highest choosing which table to roll upon – either the Standard Scenarios table or the scenario table for his own force.

In scenarios dedicated to a specific force, the scenario will state which force is the attacker or defender.

One-Off GamesPlayers engaging in one-off or tournament games may still like to use these scenario tables, either rolling for a scenario on an appropriate table or simply choosing one that takes their fancy.

You might even like to play a scenario designed for a force different from those being used by the players. After all, anything is possible in Mega-City One!

Table SizeThe scenario maps in this book assume a table size of approximately four feet square. However, all measurements between deployment zones are shown independent of table edges as the important factor is how far away the deployment zones are from one another.

You should therefore find these scenarios will work on most gaming tables, from the ‘standard’ six foot by four foot, to smaller two foot square tables. Just be aware that larger tables may leave some smaller forces feeling lonely and the smaller the table, the more bloodthirsty a game is likely to be!

DREDD’S COMPORTMENT: ON SACRIFICE‘When a judge gets too valuable

to risk, he is no longer a judge.’

Table EdgesIn every scenario, players should agree which table edges they will start on in a mutually agreeable manner. Either rolling a die each and the highest roller chooses, or having one player set up all the terrain and his opponent chooses a table edge are both valid methods. Here at Mongoose, we often simply go with the table edge we are closest to at the time!

The point here is that choice of table edge should never give one force an undue advantage over the other unless it was truly random.

Once table edges are chosen, models are placed in the appropriate deployment zones as shown on the scenario’s map, in the order listed under Set Up.

Another Road to VictoryAll scenarios in this book detail what each force needs to do in order to claim victory. However, there is always another way – if one force manages to wipe out the other or drive it off (by forcing it to fail Will to Fight checks), then they will gain victory regardless of other victory conditions. Due to the blood-thirsty nature of the Judge Dredd miniatures game, you will find many battles come down to this, but players should always be aware there is always an alternative to claiming victory and if their tactics pay off, they may still win games even if their forces are hammered during the actual battle.

Missing ModelsSome scenarios call for part of a force to remain off table at the start of a battle. Such models are never counted for the purposes of Will to Fight checks (such as a force being reduced to a quarter of its size) until they actually arrive. However, models voluntarily leaving the table as part of their victory conditions are counted (it can get lonely when you realise you are the only member of your force left still fighting!).

MERCENARIESAt times, every force needs a helping hand when facing a powerful enemy. Fortunately, there are plenty of Mercenaries willing to lend their firepower to help friends – or to line their own pockets. Mercenaries give you a chance to field all manner of strange, esoteric or just plain weird characters from the pages of 2000AD and the Megazine in your normal campaign games.

ACC-DIV JUDGE

LONG WALK JUDGE

CASE FILENot every Judge is cut out to work on

the streets. Certain personality types

may graduate the Academy of Law

but be utterly unsuited to policing

the citizens of Mega-City One. The

Justice Department does not like to

waste personnel though, and those

with the talent for numbers may

find themselves posted to Acc-Div,

monitoring the expenditure of Judges

on the street – much to the chagrin of

Street Judges.

CASE FILEAfter a career on the streets of Mega-City One, retiring Judges

often take the Long Walk, choosing to bring the Law to Lawless regions such as the Cursed Earth or Undercity.

Many die quickly to the hazards they encounter but a select few will survive, even thrive, on the

adversity, becoming a dangerous force for those who choose to hide

beyond the walls of Mega-City One.

Expenses Account: The Acc-Div Judge is keen to ensure the Judges he is assigned to do not strain the financial resources of the Justice Department. If the Acc-Div Judge’s force is facing a more powerful enemy (whose Credit worth is higher), his player may elect not to take his full quota of Mercenaries. If the Acc-Div Judge’s force is of the same Credit value or higher than the enemy, his player may allow the enemy to take more Credits worth of models (as Mercenaries) than he would normally be permitted.

For every 100 Credits that the enemy force is of higher value than the Acc-Div Judge’s force, every Hero in that force will gain +1 XP if the battle is won and the Acc-Div Judge survives, due to their new lessons in frugality. Available To: Justice Department, Mechanismo Strike Force

Options• May be purchased up to 50 Credits of weapons and equipment.• May be purchased a Day Stick for +10 Credits.• May be purchased a Lawgiver Mk I for +20 Credits or a Lawgiver Mk II for +25 Credits.

Battered and Broken: The Long Walk Judge’s equipment has seen better days. His Standard Issue Armour offers only a +4 bonus to his Armour rolls (already taken into account in his profile), and all his weapons automatically have the Limited Ammo 1 rule.

Available To: Cursed Earth Desperadoes, Justice Department, Mechanismo Strike Force
