Samsung

Samsung  is a South Korean multinational conglomerate

company headquartered inSamsung Town, Seoul. It comprisesnumerous subsidiaries and affiliated businesses, most of them

united under the Samsung  brand, and is the largest South

Korean chaebol  (business conglomerate).

Samsung was founded by Lee yung!chul in "#$% as a trading

company. &'er the net three decades, the group di'ersified into

areas including food processing, tetiles, insurance, securities

and retail. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late"#*s and the construction and shipbuilding industries in the

mid!"#+*s these areas would dri'e its subsequent growth.

 business groups / Samsung 0roup,Shinsegae 0roup, 12

0roup and 3ansol 0roup. Since "##*s, Samsung has

increasingly globali4ed its acti'ities and electronics, particularly

mobile phones and semiconductors, ha'e become its mostimportant source of income.

Samsung di'ersified into many different areas. Lee sought to

establish Samsung as an industry leader in a wide range of 

industries. Samsung mo'ed into lines of business such as

insurance, securities and retail.

Samsung started to rise as an international corporation in the
