UniversalPerformance
Allow Override of Unrated Manual Rating for Customized Weighted Rating Section
SAP has added an option called Allow Override of Unrated Manual Rating for the Customized Weighted Rating section in Manage Templates.
If the manual rating is enabled and the option is selected, the calculated rating overrides the unrated manual rating when you send the form to the next step.
This feature provides you with an essential function to allow the calculated rating to override the unrated manual rating.
In the previous version, in the Customized Weighted Rating section, the unrated manual rating was displayed as Unrated.
Calculated Rating from Customized Weighted Rating Section in Ad Hoc Reports
UniversalPerformance
Calculated Rating from Customized Weighted Rating Section in Ad Hoc Reports
If the Customized Weighted Rating section in a Performance Management form has a calculated rating, the rating can be reported in the Unadjusted Calculated Overall Performance Rating column in ad hoc reports.
The Customized Weighted Rating section has its own calculated rating, which takes priority over the unadjusted calculated rating from the Summary section.
SAP developed this feature so that ratings in ad hoc reports are consistent with those in the form.
In the previous version, Unadjusted Calculated Overall Performance Rating in ad hoc reports showed the unadjusted calculated rating from the Summary section.
Customized Labels for Calculated Rating and Manual Rating in Customized Weighted Rating Section
Admin Opt-inPerformance
Customized Labels for Calculated Rating and Manual Rating in Customized Weighted Rating Section
You can use an XML file to set customized labels for the calculated rating and the manual rating in the Customized Weighted Rating section.
This feature provides you with a flexible way of setting alternative labels for the rating field.
In the current version, in the Customized Weighted Rating section, the labels for the calculated rating and the manual rating can be customized based on your needs.
In the previous version, in the Customized Weighted Rating section, the labels for the calculated rating and the manual rating were fixed as Calculated Form Rating and Overall Form Rating.

After the form goes to the Completed folder, the login role can get a complete view of the ratings that are given by all roles in the Previous Ratings table of the section.
The display of the Customized Weighted Rating section is an essential function supported in the copy of the form in the En Route folder. SAP wanted to support this function.
In the current version, the Customized Weighted Rating section in the copy of the form in the En Route folder is synced with the in-progress form.

Rating Scale for Customized Weighted Rating Section
UniversalPerformance
Rating Scale for Customized Weighted Rating Section
You can configure the rating scale for the Customized Weighted Rating section in a Performance Management form.
The ratings given by each role at each step are normalized to the label that applies to the rating scale score for the Customized Weighted Rating section. This information is used to calculate the overall customized weighted rating. If you want to continue to use the form templates created in 1H 2020, you must configure the rating scale for the Customized Weighted Rating section in Manage Templates. This configuration is required so that you can launch forms based on the configured form templates.
Rating scale is a common feature used by other sections in a Performance Management form.
In the current version, the Customized Weighted Rating section has its own rating scale.
In the previous version, the rating scale for the Customized Weighted Rating section was mapped to the rating scale applicable to other sections (Performance Potential Summary section, Objective Competency Summary section, Summary section) with the highest priority in the form.
Removal of Enable Customized Rating Calculation from Form Template Settings
UniversalPerformance
Removal of Enable Customized Rating Calculation from Form Template Settings
SAP has removed the setting Enable Customized Rating Calculation from Form Template Settings. Adding the Customized Weighted Rating section in Manage Templates becomes a prerequisite to enable the calculation of the overall customized weighted rating.

• You've added the Customized Weighted Rating section in Manage Templates.
• You've correctly configured business rules Trigger Weighted Rating Rule and Configure Weight for Steps and Roles.
In the current version, adding the Customized Weighted Rating section is a prerequisite to enable the calculation of the overall customized weighted rating. The configuration type is Universal.

Multiple Role Support for Continuous Performance Management
SAP has enhanced the solution to allow any role in the organization the ability to use Continuous Performance Management as a way of managing activities and supporting ongoing conversations.
When this feature is enabled and the appropriate permissions are configured, a user can invite another user to a channel. Each channel includes an Activities view for managing activities, as well as a Meeting view to structure and support the 1:1 meeting between both users. The channel owner is the user who invites another user to join a channel.
Note
Channel owners can't invite themselves, their direct reports, or their direct line manager to a channel.
Note
When you enable multiple roles, users may view their achievements on the Achievements page, but drilldown isn’t supported from that page. Drilldown is supported for an individual Activity.
Multiple Role Support for Continuous Performance Management
With this release, an enhanced Continuous Performance Management allows roles outside of the traditional manager/employee hierarchical relationship to use the features and functions. The expansion of functionality for additional roles was driven, in part, by Customer Influence Ideas and further aided by ongoing customer discussions. As remote work becomes more common, SAP has focused on extending features that allow users to conduct more work tasks online. Many of SAP’s users found value in being able to conduct 1:1 meetings with their manager remotely. Many companies are operating in an agile way, with project leads, mentors, and other matrix type roles requiring a need to have ongoing conversations with colleagues. The multiple roles feature was built to support that business need.

Questions are provided out-of-the box and can be configured by the administrator. The latest version also allows users to write their own questions. The new experience makes it easier for users to feel comfortable responding with constructive feedback for a specific topic.
The new feedback view provides an updated look with filtering capabilities to help users manage and find feedback more efficiently. Additionally, the new design provides the ability to view feedback you have given to others.
