Sarmisegetuza Sanctuary

Scientists around the world including from Romania, are interested in Sarmisegetuza sanctuary

located in West of Romania. The name means ``the immortal of the Gatae``, according to a legend, the first

part of the word ``sermis`` is from Hermes, the son of Zeus and grandson of King Trojan, a Titan from the

north of Atlantis, and in the south Zeus-Ra, the Great Priest of Sun, so his complete name means (three times

important): a king, a prophet and a wise man. According to some theories the Sarmisegetuza complex is

10,000 years old but it`s development as Dacian citadel started around first century. Dacia is the nation which

populated Romania’s territory in ancient period. The capital had in its perimeter, which covers more than

5000km of land, the fortress, the sacred zone and the civilian settlement.

The most interesting place from Sarmisegetuza is located in the sacred zone. It is named the Great

Round Sanctuary complex, and it is an astronomical observatory. It is composed by 3 concentric circles and

each of them by a fix number of wood poles with different dimensions. Purpose of this structure is still not

entirely known. There, scientists have determined that time can be measured with the most precision in the

world, and it`s far more precise than time calculation nowadays. Some calculations indicate that they had only

24 hour differential error every 8840 years, even if the standards of their calendar are different from ours

today. They had 13 astronomical years consisting of 47 weeks each, but which eventually had to be corrected

with a day, and also the number of days in a year was varying from 364 to 367 days. The New Year began

with the first day of the week and ended with the last one. One century didn’t had 100 years as we have now,

but 104 which ended with one day correction, also they were always checking the precision of calculations by

comparing them with the movement of Sirius, appearing once in 50 years.

Another source says that the year had 52 weeks and 13 months, and a Big Year similar to a leap year,

had 9 days in the last week every four or five regular years. It mentions about 500 years calculation system,

by making a reference to Phoenix bird, which dies and resurrects. No other nation or Chinese or Maya

civilization, used that method. This is a confirmation that they were an advanced civilization. Also, in Enoh`s

book is written about a machine that is measuring distance between stars, and according to a few British

researchers, after ``reconstructing`` the machine based on the dates provided from the book, found that it was

extraordinarily similar to Sarmisegetuza sanctuary. In case you are wondering, the Bible says that Enoh was

not a far descendent of Adam, and some people think he received scientific knowledge from God.

Sarmisegetuza sanctuary and it’s circle calendar is well known among scientist, but most people do

not know about it. It holds the most precise time and undoubtedly, those who built it, had advanced scientific

skills in geometry, astronomy and other fields of science. Till now we covered only a fraction of

``Sarmisegetuza story ``, but hopefully new archeological discoveries would spread fresh understanding

concerning humanity, and that could change people’s attitude towards history, ancient world and our origins.
