Secrets by Muziektheater Transparant

Drawing from anonymous true confessions entrusted to the performers by past audiences around the globe, Secrets is an intimate jazz theatre show that’s about all the things we would prefer to keep hush-hush. Matters and moments so private they were just begging to be set to music and sung to a room of strangers.

Airing and sharing these juicy tidbits is American soprano Claron McFadden, with the support of experimental accordion-brass-cello jazz trio Michel Massot, Tuur Florizoone and Marine Horbaczewski from Muziektheater Transparant.

Together they have created a musical production that shows how these hidden thoughts link us all together.

Sholololo! A chamber opera of terrace songs

In the modern world, grandiose emotions can be found in opera… and on stadium terraces: passionate love, undying devotion, and emotional highs and lows.

Opéra Louise transforms the chants of Arsenal and Chelsea’s faithful followers into an absurd and joyous chamber opera. This is an everyday story of love at first sight, rivalry and a happy ending for the protagonists, who can only express themselves through fan incantations.

This summer, Lewis Cubitt Square plays host to Cubitt Sessions, an electrifying live music programme spanning classical music, immersive theatre, surreal comedy, movement, street culture, experimental jazz and improvised opera.

Some of the UK’s most talented musicians feature, alongside captivating performers from across the globe. Cubitt Sessions welcomes artists from New York, Switzerland, Denmark, Romania and beyond in this truly unique series.

All performances are free and open to all. Performances start at 7pm, with wet weather provision available as needed.

Green and Fortune at Cubitt Sessions

The renowned Kings Place café and bar will be serving delicious hot and cold food, drinks and refreshments. Bar open 6-9.30pm for each performance night.
