The smartest, most passionate, most beautiful women I’vemet have been Satanists. Idon’t mean “beautiful on theinside where it really counts;” Imean gorgeous, vibrant, curvywomen. Most non-Satanicmen find Satanic womenintimidating - too intelligent ortoo pretty, or worse yet, bothat the same time. It takes aspecial woman to be a Satanist.Only the most truly liberatedare summoned to Satan’s

legions. Up until quite recently, the ratio of Satanic men towomen had been about 10to 1, but that seems to beshifting. More and more youngwomen are going throughthe process of exploringfeminism and Wicca, seekingfeminine pride, identity andpower, and discovering onlyimpotence, limitations andpuritanical self-righteousness.Wicca and feminism sharea flaccid, lackluster attitudeand presentation. Satanicwomen like drama/adventureand know how to conjure itfor themselves. Satanistshave an innate complexityof mind that hungers foruncompromising examinationand speculation, notsuperficially-comforting pap.

We don’t need to becomforted; we preferthe invigorating, bracingwinds of truth and terror.

Our culture has been in-fluenced enough by Anton

LaVey and his books so that it’s nowcool for young women to dress like Sa-tanic witches and think like the DevilHimself. Camille Paglia and others nowget honorifics for challenging traditionalfeminism, defending women’s rights towear heels and makeup. Those who

study such trends are calling this “lip-stick feminism” (from the more hon-est “lipstick lesbians”), “nontraditionalfeminism” or “antifeminist feminism.”Big news. So The Satanic Witch cameout 26 years ago, girls. Did you just getaround to reading it? To me, it’s still thesame old game of cribbing from AntonLaVey’s books, catering to the newSatanic generation, but not wantingto acknowledge those blasphemous

philosophical roots. Jayne Mansfieldrecognized that, for the first time inher life, she had found a philosophythrough which she could be a busi-nesswoman, an intellectual, a motherand a sexpot all at once. She wouldn’tbe criticized for committing the ulti-mate sin of reconciling irreconcilables.

Satanic women don’t want to gaintheir strength by castrating men, or

by making themselves out as victims.Whether they’re providing healing andinspiration to those under their roofs, cracking the whip in corporate circles, managing their own home-based busi-nesses or maneuvering whatever theyneed to survive, all are applying andincreasing their power - not whiningabout why they don’t have any! Wedon’t need “feminism” on our sleeveas our primary identity. We have ouridentity as Satanists. Satanic womenare fierce; fierce defenders of theirmen, of their children, of their ideasand values. Wiccans understand thefemale archetype in a completely dif-ferent way than Satanists do. We knowthat Woman is Nature - Darwinian lawas well as peaceful, awe-inspiring sun-sets. Women can be conniving andruthless, plotting and vengeful. “MotherNature” isn’t loving and all-embracing.She’s selective, cruel and unyielding.

Wicca is trying to keep up with Satan-ism by sprinkling in Valkyries, the DarkGoddess, and other more menacingimages of the Mother Goddess. But itstill remains lackluster and uninspiringbecause it’s isolated - dependent oninternal references and icons. It be-comes shallow, stilted and flaccid. Bytrying to ignore or deny the authority orexistence of great men, they’re discon-necting their religion from ennoblingmusic, poetry, literature, art, architec-ture, science and philosophy. Satanistsrecognize that the force of Westerncivilization has always been a mascu-line, heroic, Promethean drive toward

adventure and exploration. Feminist/ Wiccancant is ultimately “soul candy,” like the termthat’s evolved for pop-science and psychol-ogy - this is the equivalent. You may seekit out when you need bolstering up, thinkingthat you’ll be inspired and spurred to greater

achievements, lured by promises of uniquefeminine perspective and strengthening. Butultimately it’s not satisfying. The illusion ofstrength is superficial; the nagging victimiza-tion becomes insulting. Not like reading Dos-toevsky or Will Durant, Wuthering Heights, orJane Austen, or Plato’s Dialogues or Eras-mus “The Praise of Folly”, or, obviously, TheSatanic Bible. I refuse to limit my role modelsonly to other women just because I happen tobe one. I gain power from the metaphors and

heroes I choose, regardless of their gender.

Our decisions are based on real-world con-cerns, not in defense of an inadequate ego. When a Satanic woman and her mate de-cide if they’ll have children, or who will workin the outside world and who will stay homewith the kids, it’s a pragmatic question - whohas more earning power? Who’s investedmore money and time developing their ca-reer? Who’s more capable of earning money

at home as opposed to in the workplace?Who’s better able to have the patience andother attributes necessary to raise a child?

The Satanic woman doesn’t need a job to define her capabili-ties; nor does she need to have children to feel fulfilled. Shereserves her “nurturing” for those who deserve her help andencouragement - namely: herself, her mate, and those few

she chooses to call friends. She finds a man who can expressher Demonic or she conjures up a Lover for herself; she isn’tdesperate for love, vulnerable to ploys from fast talkers.

Many young bottom-of-the-clock women who are lookingfor gothic strength in a man, can’t find it in the simperingshe-males around them - so they manifest their Demonicsthemselves, dressing in black leather, black stockings andcarrying a big black whip. A compleat, Satanic witch canbest spend her time in constant, intimate spiritual and sexualcontact with her strongest Demonic archetype - SatanHimself. In practicing her arts of enchantment, manipulation, inspiration, and protection in the real world, she strengthensboth herself and those she chooses to love. She becomesa direct line to our Source. That’s why a powerful sorceressmust be cautious about aligning herself with, and transfer-ring power to, unworthy men.

Identity and stimulation. Dr. LaVey has pinpointed thesetwo elements as primary commodities. Satanism providesus with both. I don’t need to be pigeonholed as a “feminist,”or any other convenient label. None of us are so charitableto the weak-minded that we allow ourselves to be so easilycategorized and dismissed. I am proud to call myself aSatanist, thereby aligning myself with the strongest minds, bodies, and Will on Earth.
