1:1 Verification at SAVIOR Reader Level

1:N Identification at SAVIOR Reader Level

Also known as 1:1 Authentication.Fingerprint of the user is enrolled and stored in the Smart Card using the SAVIOR Reader. When the user is to be verified, the reader picks up the live fingerprint template of the user and verifies it against the fingerprint template stored in the Smart Card. SAVIOR 8403, 8404, 8405 and GPRS enabled 8503, 8504 & 8505 support 1:1 Verification.

In 1:N identification the finger is enrolled using 1:N Reader enrollment or at the Computer Enrollment Station.Fingers Enrolled at Reader Level is transferred to Computer database, to be deployed to other Readers.Fingers Enrolled at Computer Enrollment Station is deployed to all Readers, as required by Operator. When the user is to be verified, the reader picks up the live fingerprint template of the user and Identifies it against 'N' number of fingerprint template stored in the Reader. SAVIOR 8403, 8404, 8405 and GPRS enabled 8503, 8504 & 8505 support 1:N Identification.

1:N Identification at SAVIOR Computer Application Level

To positively help your Cashier, Stores and other services to identify the person without the card, from his fingerprint to eliminate fraud. To positively identify whether the person who is taking the benefit, is the actual person. When the user is to be verified, the Operator (Cashier, Stores Keeper) select the Employee Name and asks the Employee to place the Finger on SAVIOR FS 100. The result of 1:1 Verification is visible to the Operator on his Computer Screen.SAVIOR dvanced 1:N nrollment, Computer Level dentification & Template eployment Software (AEID Software) gives the facility of 1:1 Verification at Computer Application Level.

To Identify a person who is already registered in the computer database with another name, address etc.To Identify a blacklist of users, who should not be allowed to be re-registered.The template is transferred to the computer database which has "N" number of fingerprint templates. The new fingerprint template is searched among the "N" fingerprint templates stored in the database. If a similar template is stored in the database, it is shown in the search.SAVIOR offers standard 1:N Identification in 2 different licences. 1:5000 licence dongle and 1:20,000 licence dongle. Each search takes from few milli seconds to 7 seconds (depends on system specification) for each Database, to throw the duplicate Fingerprints. Multiple Database can be created.SAVIOR dvanced 1:N nrollment, Computer Level dentification & Template eployment Software (AEID Software) gives the facility of 1:N Identification at Computer Application Level.

Using 'SAVIOR Enrollment Master Card' or through USB Keyboard, the user's 2 Fingers are enrolled on the Reader by placing the 2 Fingers 3 times on the Fingerprint Sensor. The consolidated Fingerprint Template is stored in the Smart Card based Identity Card.

Inside theContactlessSmart Cardbased IdentityCard

1. The same Smart Card can be used as an Identity card.2. Since there is a Smart Card, it can used in

SAVIOR 3000 & 7000 Series Readers in the same premises.

3. Ease of use for operator as the template once stored in the card will work on all 8000 Series readers installed in the premises.

4. Unlimited number of Employees can use a specific Reader.

5. Even low quality Fingers can be enrolled and be verified without error in this type of Fingerprint Enrollment.

6. By using the Fingerprint Bypass function, only the use of smart card is possible. This can be done for specific employee or a specific or group of readers till rolled back.

7. Antipass back facility can be customized.8. Startup of new Readers in same premises is very easy

and fast. All Smart Cards having the Fingerprint Template of the User, will be accepted by the new Reader subject to Negative / Positive Masking.

1. Cost of Smart Card based Identity Card, is added to the cost of the solution.

2. As Fingerprint template of the employee is not available at the computer l e v e l , i s s u a n c e o f duplicate card requires re-enrollment.

1) Whereidentity card is required

2) Where the Fingerprint of the user is damaged or of low quality

3) Where ease of operation for Operator is necessary.

4) Fast startup of Readers is required.

5) Faster clearance of Queue.

Additional equipment required is customized 7403 with customized Enrollment Software. The Enrollment software is modified to transfer the Fingerprint Template Enrolled at Software Level to the Contactless Smart Card based Identity card of the user.

COMMON TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR ALL POWER SUPPLY & CONNECTION BOX

Q1. We have 20 locations across India with less than 50 employees and a factory with 2000 employees. What enrollment method should I use?

Q2. One of the location is a construction site with no computer GPRS connectivity or Electricity. Can I record Attendance ?

Q3. Why can we not use 1:N Enrollment on Reader above 500 Users ?

Q4. Why should we transfer Fingerprint Template to a Central Database?

Q5. have used 1:N Enrollment on Reader but some Employees are not getting enrolled, what should I do ?

Q6. The user has cut one or more of his fingers, What is the solution?

Q7. Due to change of season or on account of any other reason, the user's finger has no finger print as old skin has come out and new skin has not came. What is the solution?

Q8. The user's finger has Mehendi or Ink or Grease on the finger. What is the solution?

We

A1. For the 20 locations, use 1:N Enrollment at Reader Level. Transfer the Fingerprint Templates of all 20 locations to your Factory (if possible) for centralized control. You can deploy the Fingerprint in any manner, once it is centralized.

For the Factory, 1:N enrollment at Computer level with MSO 300 is recommended.

A2. Enroll the Users with 1:N Enrollment using USB Keyboard. Transfer the Data using Pen Drive. Use Metal Box with Battery backup and solar Panel to get your Reader working.

A3. Fingerprint Identification (1:N) is based on the difference between the fingers of different users. The probability of similar Fingerprint increase as a number of Users increase. The 1:N Enrollment on Reader is on small size Fingerprint Sensor which does not catch as many Fingerprint features as a big Sensor like MSO 300 picks up. Hence it is more practical to use big Sensor for Users above 500.

A4. You can deploy the Fingerprint in any manner once it is centralized. It can also work as a secondary backup and hence employee need not disturbed for another enrollment in case primary backup is lost.

A5. You can use 1:N Enrollment at Computer Level with MSO 300 or you can issue Smart Card on 1:1 or only on smart Card based on quality of Fingerprint of the user.

A6. SAVIOR 1:1 & 1:N Fingerprint Technology enrolls 2 fingers. If the finger is having simple cut without any bandage, the same finger normally is Identified by SAVIOR Reader as the sensor is trained to ignore simple cuts. In case, finger is bandaged, the user can use the second finger without informing the HR Dept. In case both fingers are damaged, the HR Dept. can enroll some other fingers which are okay OR since SAVIOR Reader can also work with Smart Card, the operator can Flag the Card to accept Attendance with Smart Card and without Fingerprint.

A7. Solution similar to the answer given in A1. Normally all fingers do not have the problem at the same time. Also this problem is limited to few persons for limited time. The thumb rule is that, if the fingerprint lines are visible to your eye, the finger can be enrolled or identified.

A8. If the fingerprint lines are visible to your eye, the finger can be identified. The Mehendi, Grease, Ink, Oil should not dirty the Sensor Window. Any damage, breakage, sabotage or misuse of Fingerprint Sensor during Warranty or AMC will not be entertained.
