Unless otherwise specified, the rates quoted for Anti-Termite treatment shall include the following :

Cost of all materials, labour, equipment / tools and plants required, conveyance, infrastructure facilities required etc.

Work shall be at all levels, heights and elevation and location.

All equipments employed, tools, tackles etc.

Treatment to all areas required to be treated at any depth and level in the sequence including trenches, pits and tunnels etc.

Making holes, providing nozzles and injecting etc.

Treatment should be carried out by an approved specialised pest control agency on prior approval.

Treatment should be carried out generally in accordance with the technical specification and confirming to IS 6313.



The description and specification for treatment contained in the Bill of Quantities is indicative only and is meant to set out a general outline of the Proprietary system as commonly understood. The eventual requirement is performance oriented to achieve total termite proof expected from the system that is adopted. Since the systems, both in materials and methodology of application, are proprietary, the onus of examining the drawings, BOQ, specifications and site conditions lies on the Contractor. The prices quoted shall be comprehensive and appropriate and shall include all the applicable items envisaged in the system, whether or not they have specifically described in the doCu.Mtr.ents / information supplied.

Post Construction Anti-termite treatment shall be guaranteed for a period of at least 10 (Ten) years in an approved Performa acceptable to the Owner on a stamp paper.

Providing Post Construction Pest control and Anti-termite treatment by appointing a specialised agency as per the specifications mentioned by the Bureau of Indian Standards and Agencies specifications (whichever is higher), for General Civil, Plumbing, Drainage and timber / Carpentry works, Gypsum related work, including a 10-year guarantee under suitable undertaking on stamp paper etc, complete as directed. II DEMOLITION, DISMANTLING WORKS

Note:-

The rate for all demolishing and dismantling to include carting and disposing of the debris outside the site at Municipal Dumping grounds post obtaining the necessary approvals from concerned respective authorities.

Necessary propping, shoring and / or underpinning shall be provided for the safety of the adjoining work or property, which is to be left in tact, before dismantling and demolishing is taken up and the work shall be carried out in such a way that no damage is caused to the adjoining work or property.

Cost to include necessary scaffolding wherever required

Use wall cutter / breaker in place of hand tools for all places

Screens shall be placed where necessary to prevent injuries due to falling pieces.

Parts of work required to be dismantled and those required to be demolished shall be measured separately. Measurements of all work except hidden work shall be taken before demolition or dismantling and no allowance for increase in bulk shall be allowed.

For all the items under the demolition head, all the serviceable materials to be handed over to Architect and the resultant debris to be cleared from the site as per Architect instructions and dumped at local Municipal dumping yards post obtaining the necessary approvals from concerned respective authorities.

III CONSTRUCTION OF MASONRY WORK

1.00 150mm THK LIGHT WEIGHT SIPOREX BLOCK

Rates quoted for all masonry items shall include the cost of the following

(a) All scaffolding, ladders, platforms, staging and plant required in the execution of work to any height and depth

(b) Hacking and Roughening of concrete or other surface in contact with masonry for bondage.

(c) Raking cut joints to 12mm depth either for plastering or pointing



(d) Levelling up and preparing top of masonry for Damp proof course

(e) Building in hold fasts, bolts and such other inserts as directed by the Project manager

(f) Keeping the masonry work well wetted for two weeks or as directed by the Project manager

(g) Work at all heights, levels, depths, unless otherwise specified

(h) All works curved or straight

(i) Soaking of bricks in water for minimum period of 60 minutes so that the entire brick is soaked in water

(j) Cost of all materials, transport to site and labour

(k) All pipe fittings and specials, spouts, hold fasts and other fixtures which are required to be built into the walls shall be embedded, as specified, in their correct position as the work proceeds unless otherwise directed by the Project Manager. The rate to be inclusive of all that

(l) Building in ends of beams, joists, slabs, lintels, sills, trusses etc..,

(m) Provision to be made for cut-outs (Openings for sanitary, electrical, fire fighting or any other services) and after completion of the services work, all the cut-outs and openings to be made good, matching the surroundings

(n) Receiving all materials supplied by the employer, unloading, storing, conveying to work site and fixing in position

(o) Solid / Hollow block to any size shall conform to IS : 2185.



Providing and constructing Light Weight Concrete Block Masonry (Aerocon or Siporex or equivalent approved make) in proper line and level, at all levels in cement mortar 1:4 using standard size of blocks of thicknesses as given below, including all scaffolding, staging, curing, all lifts, pointing of joints very neatly complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge, all labour, hire and fuel charges for all tools and plants employed etc. complete and as directed. Rate shall include providing Concrete Binders in proportion of M-20 grade, 100 mm thick reinforced with 4 nos. of 8 mm dia Fe 500 bars & stirrups at 150mm c/c, RCC binders to be at every 1.2 metre interval from floor level. Closing the gap between the masonry and RCC beam / slab finished to required slope as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. A ceiling above a partition wall may deflect under loads applied after its erection, or through thermal or other movements. To avoid cracking as a result of such deflection, the partition wall shall be separated from the ceiling by a gap or by a layer of resilient material like fire returdant self expanding polyurethane foam or lean mortar. Note 1:- The width of the joints not to exceed 10mm. Drive unit to be of moulded plastic with straight rectangular support pin & inserted into the tube end.
