Thank you for attending our annual Holiday Fair & Craft Bazaar. We are excited to offer delicious, homemade food and baked goods, unique children’s activities, a quality handmade quilt raffle, and one-of-a-kind holiday shopping from over 50 local artisans as well as our own school store, The Whispering Wood.
The Waldorf School of Philadelphia (WSP) is a fully accredited early childhood through 8th Grade school and is one of more than 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide. The WSP follows the educational philosophies of Rudolf Steiner: educating the head, heart and hands.
From the puppet play and children’s craft activities to the magical Children’s Shopping Room, we are sure that you will have a great time and get a taste of what a Waldorf school is all about. a helpful note about atms We are pleased to accept cash and personal checks at the Admissions Table, in the Food Rooms and at the Snowflake & Raffle Tables. The Whispering Wood, our school store, also accepts all major credit cards through use of a Square. Accepted payment methods varies by vendor. If you need cash the closest ATM is located at PNC Bank on Chelten Avenue.

Children’s Shopping Room 10am–5pm (last entry 4:30pm) Early Childhood Building, Primrose Kindergarten Children are invited to a magical shopping scene that they enter on their own to select gifts for their grown-ups. Cost: 1 Snowflake per gift
Face Painting 10am–4pm (last entry 3:45pm) Grades Building, 8th Grade Choose from an animal or other whimsical design. Cost: 2 Snowflakes
Henna 12pm–3pm (last entry 2:45pm) Special Subjects Building, Handwork Classroom Cost: 3–5 Snowflakes
Holiday Chorus 10:30am Outside, Steps of Grades Building FREE
Jump Rope Making 11am–4pm (last entry 3:45pm) Outside Select from beautiful colors to make a unique and sturdy jump rope that will last for years to come. Cost: 4 Snowflakes to make your own, 3 Snowflakes for pre-made jump ropes
Puppet Play (ages 3+) 11am & 11:45am Early Childhood/Grades Building, Oak Tree Kindergarten. Featherlight. The show will run about 30 minutes. Please be prompt–no admittance once show has begun. Note: Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost: 2 Snowflakes per child; 2 Snowflakes per adult.
Quilt Raffle Drawing 4pm In the Great Hall
Stones Game 10am–4pm Cost: 2 Snowflakes
MOLKKY Game 2pm–4pm Cost: 1 Snowflake
Pocket Fairy 10am–3pm Children choose from a secret pocket in the apron of a whimsical fairy. Cost: 1 Snowflake per pocket

• Wissahickon Pottery Handmade pottery, made in Philadelphia steps from the Wissahickon Creek. Raw honey, too.
Grades Building, Foyer (Ground Floor)• Dusty Amodio
Dusty Amodio uses his fine woodworking skills to create one-of-a-kind furniture and home goods. He works exclusively with salvaged and responsibly harvested materials.
• Tie Up Textiles Handwoven, blockprinted, hand dyed home textiles, like pillows, table linens, wall hangings, and more.
Grades Building: 5th Grade (Ground Floor)• Art || Works
All items are handmade and include the following: textiles, woodworking (custom plant stands, cutting boards, serving trays), jewelry, sewn home decor/bags/prints, and greeting cards.
• Elder Wood Creations Turning beauty from beauty. Local wood artist creating functional wooden art pieces, ranging from food safe items to sculptural works, and everything in between.
• Kitchen Garden Series The Kitchen Garden Series is a line of kitchen textiles handmade from reclaimed materials and sold to support urban agriculture.
• Philly Waldorf Gift Wrapping Table Children and Adults alike can wrap some of the gifts made or purchased at our Fair. Cost: 1 Snowflake
• Six Senses Clay Studio Lively, colorful, and invitingly unique made-by-hand pottery by members of the Six Senses Clay Studio.
• Grades Building: 6th Grade (Ground Floor• Good Sense Farm &
Apiary We grow mushrooms and raise bees for honey. We make mushroom seasonings, grow your own mushroom kits, body products made from beeswax.
• The Little Workshop We offer children’s sewing kits for ages 7 & up. Our kits provide you with everything that you need to complete the project! Fun for adults too.
• STITCHPRISM Hanging air plant “aerium”
gardens and handmade jewelry from ceramic pieces, rough crystals, and geometric shapes. Includes a mini gem shop with gifts under $10!
• Untold Imprint Natural, earthy, hand dyed and hand printed textiles made in small batches.
• Useful & Beautiful - Upcycled Handmade Children’s wear, soft toys, holiday items, accessories and home goods, all made from recycled textiles.
Grades Building: Dumbledore’s Study (3rd Floor)• Tooth of the Lion
Apothecary Herbal products made fresh from locally wildcrafted and organically grown plants, plus botanical illustrations
• Woolezoo Toys Inspired by everyday things and childhood experiences, Woolezoo toys are handmade in small batches with the earth in mind. From stuffing to upcycled fabric even the tiniest details are chosen with care.

heather bag & phoenix crafts Handcrafted hand bags and “dragon riders” made from upcycled fabrics, fallen branches and bamboo.
• Felted Art by Miki Sekuguchi + Loretta Borko Needle felted animals & birds, ornaments & accessories.
• Philly Waldorf 8th Grade Table Assorted crafts handmade by our 8th Grade students to fundraise for their class trip
• Windrose Studio Jewelry based on correspon-dences between stars and stones to enhance the inner as well as outer beauty of the wearer using semi-pre-cious stones and silver. Paper marbled handbound books, journals and notecards.
• Madeline Rile Smith One-of-a-kind glass art and jewelry made in Philadelphia with love
Special Subjects Building: Handwork Classroom• The Cob Studio/Cara
Graver Stoneware clay pottery and functional sculpture for table, home, and garden. One-of-a-kind pieces inspired by nature, gnomes, and Tomtes.
• Henna by Gina Gruenberg
• Jitoke Wamama Wafrika Pini Kidulah founded and directs this non-profit
community based organiza-tion in Kenya. Poor women learn skills to support their families. All money raised goes to the women who create these products.
• Kurt Walser Swiss artisan handmade chocolates
• Scarves by Rashid Handmade scarves from beautiful prints.
Special Subjects Building: Music Classroom• Colors by Padmini
Lovingly hand crafted with respect to people and our planet. We use sustainable materials to create fashion and home textiles that tell a story of traditional crafts. Get special holiday gifts like wool ponchos, block print jackets and vests, old embroidery bags and purses.
• Jayne Ellen Pots Jayne Ellen Pots is a handmade pottery company based in West Philadelphia. These functional pieces are inspired by organic shapes and feature whimsical designs with bright pops of color.
• Nature’s Embers by Cheryl Ackerman
Wet and needle felted scarves and figures. Fairies, tree toppers, nuno felted scarves for all seasons. Small ornaments, gnomes, and needle felting kits.
• Oreland Wood Oreland Wood is a maker of Shaker reproductions and custom designed Shaker furniture, boxes & woodenware. We also produce a small line of solid cedar outdoor furniture.
• Sylvia Starlight Take-along treasures that inspire the imagination to roam. Every item is unique and handmade from quality materials
Special Subjects Building: Eurythmy• Jhoi Broom
I have handmade grassbrooms and dustpans, 100% natural and ergonomic. It is designed for hardwood floors and other hard surfaces. One design is especially for children.
• Kaiya Naturals Handmade, natural, herbal bath and body products, including moisturizers, body oils, mud masks, toners and more. “If our products were any more natural, we’d just hand you the plant.”
• Lila Stuempfig Handmade shoes, handwoven beaded jewelry, naturally dyed fabric quilts, and Waldorf dolls made in Germantown.
• Paper and Ax Hand turned wooden bowls, rolling pins and ornaments. Letterpress, screen printed cards and prints.
• Whim Jewelry Whim Jewelry is a carefully designed collection of simple, timeless, and versatile pieces. Each piece is handmade in the designer’s studio in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
• Camphill Village Kimberton Hills Our handcrafters with and without disabilities collaborate in the creation of pottery, textiles and felt, mosaics, and herb tea blends all made with love.
