Function
Isobar’s unique busbar disconnection system permits unused outgoing poles to be electrically isolated from the main supply via a slider switch. The result is enhanced protection against direct contact with live parts during testing, commissioning, and retrofit applications. The slider switch is directly adjacent to the tee-off, ensuring that the correct isolator for that circuit is switched.
Description
The Isobar chassis is available in two types, the TNA and PEV, which come in various sizes from 12 to 72 poles with numerous accessories and are adaptable to most industrial applications.
Technical data
• Fully type tested conditional short circuit rating of 25 kA
• 100 A current carrying capacity of outgoing tee-offs
• Fully encapsulated busbar system

Suitable for all Acti 9™ circuit breakers, 1P, 2P, 3P, and 4P up to 100 A.
Incomer connection options
The A9TNA250CK connection kit allows connection between an INS250 or NSX250 main switch without the need to modify the switchboard. A cable connection kit is also available for easy installation (SEA9TB2253).
Innovative neutral switching feature
Isobar chassis (PEV type) have an option of a patented plug-in neutral adaptor, which can be used to convert any of the outgoing poles to a neutral. This allows 1P and 3P outgoing protection and control devices to be installed adjacent to 2P and 4P devices without the loss of pole places. In essence, the innovative switched neutral feature makes it possible to protect or isolate any circuit with fast and simple adaptation.
The Isobar PEV chassis is ideal for applications that require minimum down time and maximum safety.
PEV chassis conforms to Form 4ah as per AS/NZS 61439-2.

Function
CNS-PowerPact™ chassis assemblies provide easy mounting of moulded case circuit breakers (MCCBs) into low-voltage power distribution switchboards. The unique, innovative design offers the benefit of a space-saving assembly with a lower installation cost. CNS-PowerPact chassis is ideal for industrial and commercial applications either as a main or subdistribution panel.
Technical data
• Available with 630 A or 800 A 3-pole busbars
• From 12 to 72 ways for double sided and 6 to 39 ways for single sided
• Short circuit withstand: 40 kA rms for 1 s, 50 kA rms for 0.1 s

For the interruption test, the CNS-PowerPact chassis was fitted inside an enclosure with escutcheon fitted. The test circuit breaker (CB) was mounted between two adjacent CBs, and three by the total CBs were mounted opposite. All CBs were line-side fed. No terminal shields, phase barriers, or rear insulating screens were fitted. The test was in accordance with clause 8.2.3 of the Australian Standard AS3439.1.

Function
Schneider Electric NMC chassis can be used to build flexible and adaptable main and secondary switchboards up to 2000 A, for industrial and commercial sites.
The NMC chassis is specifically designed to accommodate Schneider Electric devices, through its large choice of incomers (switch disconnectors, moulded case circuit breakers (MCCBs)), and outgoing MCCBs (Compact NS and NSX range).

The NMC chassis range is adapted to a large variety of requirements.
Customised versions
You can create and implement an electrical distribution system to meet your specific requirements and design.
Choice of circuit breakers
Suitable for compact NS MCCBs, 1P, 2P, and 3P up to 1250 A.
Current rating
Available in three current ratings: 1250 A, 1600 A and 2000 A.
Modular design
Available in 14, 18, 22, 28, 33, and 44 modules. Each module measures 35 mm. The total number of modules determines the height of the chassis. The configuration of the chassis can be altered by easily removing or adding tee-offs. Number of modules required for each type of MCCB:
• NSX100 to NSX250: 3 modules
• NSX400 and NSX630: 4 modules
• NS630b to NS1250: 6 modules
Flexible chassis
The NMC chassis can be designed in top, bottom, dual or centre feed. It also comes in a single-sided or double-sided layout.
Insulated system
The busbars are fully enclosed and have colour coded tee-offs for connection to the MCCBs.

For the interruption test, the NMC chassis was fitted inside an enclosure with escutcheon fitted. Test CB was mounted between two adjacent CBs, and three CBs were mounted opposite. All CBs were line side fed. No terminal shields were fitted. When IP2X chassis brackets are used, we recommend you use a terminal shield and rear insulating screen on load side of CB. The tests were in accordance with clause 8.2.3 of Australian Standard AS3439.1.
Protection
Finger safe IP2X protection can be achieved by the addition of the following components (report TCA No.100382):
• IP2X circuit breaker bracket and insulating screen
• Short terminal shields on line side and long terminal shields on load side.

To order a NMC chassis, fill out the layout sheet and email it to Schneider Electric Customer Service Centre or hand it in to a Schneider Electric Sales Engineer

NMC spreader links
Spreaders reduce the pitch of the chassis connection terminals, thus making it possible to connect the NMC chassis directly to NS630b to NS1600 circuit breakers, INS630b to INS2500, or IN2500.

IP2X brackets and terminal shields
The NMC chassis can be assembled to comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 3439.1:2002 (Clause 8.2.7). The chassis must be equipped with IP2X support brackets with insulating screens and the MCCBs must be equipped with terminal shields. You can create and implement an electrical distribution system to meet your specific requirements and design.

Notes:
1. Add the total quantities of modules to calculate the total size of the chassis.
2. Ensure that the load side (customer cable connection) of ALL circuit breakers is clearly marked on the layout diagram.
3. If an NS630b/1250 is mounted at the top or bottom of the chassis, an extra 1M module is required for mounting busbars.
4. 1M module is also required between 2 x NS630b/1250 mounted side by side.
5. 1000 V MCCBs can only be used on single-sided chassis. 1M module space is required between each 1000 V breaker and IP2X support brackets must be used.
6. For NS630b/12500 on double-sided chassis, identify if the load side of the breaker.
7. Include 33130NMC (modified 3p rear terminal shield) in BOM for all NS630b/1250 to be mounted on the NMC chassis.
