This is a GREAT option for those kids that do not have the finances for the 4 year university, those kids that don’t know what they want to major in, aren’t quite ready for a large university, or need to stay close to home for personal family circumstances

Special population scholarships and programs

These programs target specific groups of students such as low income/first generation college students, minority students, students entering certain fields of study, etc.

Oftentimes the scholarship is substantial and includes full tuition, fees and room and board. Thus, competition will be great, however, the only way to possibly earn the award is to apply.

Who should apply to QuestBridge’s college match program?

While there are no absolute academic or financial cut-offs, the majority of our successful applicants share the following characteristics:They are in the top 5% or 10% of their class. They have strong grades in challenging

classes and high standardized test scores. Their household income is less than $60,000

a year, and often less than $50,000 a year. Often they are among the first generation in

their family to attend college.
