Our aim is not only to inculcate good reading habits amongst children but we also ensure that our students and faculty are provided the opportunity and resources to become informed citizens and lifelong learners. VPMS Pune has two separate well stocked and maintained libraries with over ten thousand titles (fiction, nonfiction, reference) and over twenty journals and magazines as well as six dailies. Physics Lab! !Physics is a discipline which encourages scientific enquiry through scientific methods which is a progressive approach through series of experimentation, formulating hypothesis,  and verifying it. At VPMS, we have an exclusive laboratory for Physics with equipments and apparatus at par with any leading institution in India. Students are trained to use these apparatus and perform experiments independently as part of their curriculum and

for investigatory projects. Competent teachers and trained lab assistants provide the necessary help and create an atmosphere where students quench their curiosity and nurture their creativity!!!!

!Chemistry Laboratory!

The laboratory has been given a central and distinctive role in science education. The learning experiences given in the chemistry laboratory result in improved attitude towards science instructions and understanding. It also helps to motivate children. The Chemistry lab is a place where students learn to design and execute experiments, learn to generate, analyze and to interpret data.!

!!!Biology Lab!The bio lab is spacious and has an extensive range of scientific models, specimens, slides,

charts, instruments, equipments and apparatus that cater to the scientific needs of the secondary and senior secondary level. The lab has a sufficient number of good quality microscopes and other apparatus to do hands on experiments. The Biology laboratory also provides a platform for the budding scientists of the senior secondary section to carry out their projects for their examinations. !Mathematics Laboratory!

 Mathematics Laboratory is a place where students can learn and explore mathematical concepts and verify mathematical facts and theorems through a variety of activities using different materials. These activities may be carried out by the teacher or the student to explore, to learn, to stimulate interest and develop favorable attitude towards mathematics. The Mathematics Lab consists of models in various branches of mathematics like Algebra, Geometry, Arithmetic etc. which are of great help to students from K.G to 10th standard. The models are so

designed to cater to the needs of all segments and learners in verifying formulae results and applications etc.!!Computer Labs!Computers have brought about a revolution across all industries and have changed the face of society. They are indeed ruling society hence computer education is extremely important. To make our students computer friendly and technologically comfortable, we introduce computers to our tiny tots using a play way method. !

We have a well designed curriculum for Std. I to Std. XII. To give them hands-on practice, we have three well equipped computer labs for Primary, Secondary and Sr. Secondary students. All the computers have licensed software and have dual booting facility with Windows and Linux operating system. !

The entire school is wi-Fi enabled. The teachers are well trained to handle office suites. !

Playground! !VPMS has a big playground to play Cricket, Hockey, Football as well as a Basketball court, a

Volleyball court, which provide excellent training grounds for budding sportsmen. We also have separate halls for Taekwondo, Skating and Gymnastics. A Gymnasium with modern equipment helps the staff members for their fitness. The big playground is useful for the Morning Assembly, Annual Sports Meet and for conducting athletics, field games, PT display, March past and school sports competitions.

Class Rooms, Open Theatre et al…..!Well ventilated, well lit with safe furniture spacious class rooms with big corridors is the base of our school. School is proud to have the Open Theatre in the premises with a seating arrangement for around 800 students. The Seminar Hall, Two Audio Visual Halls, the Multipurpose hall and the Activity Hall are extremely useful for academic as well as Co- curricular Activities, Workshops, Conferences etc. The halls are well lit and adequately ventilated The Halls are well equipped with Projector, K – Yan, Mike System, Sound System etc. The Sports Room, three Staff Rooms are extremely useful for the teachers. Sufficient drinking water facility, clean and sufficient (as per norms) separate toilets for girls, boys and staff completes the infrastructure.!!Health care facility! In our school campus we have two well equipped medical rooms available for junior as well as senior school students. We have two trained nurses to take care of emergency medical treatment (First aid) and general illness. Medical checkups are organized and health cards are maintained for each student as per the guidelines prescribed by CBSE.!

Do you remember the dilemma of whom to talk to about physical changes, or about the stress of getting exam papers, that awkward feeling of being the shortest in the class? When you think about it, growth and development along with academics can add to some stress for children, especially when they can't voice their confusion to an adult. Counseling provides a safe platform for them to feel not only understood but also find solutions to their dilemmas. Our aim is to not only empower students for achievement of personal goals and extend support when necessary, but also develop harmony of body and mind. The School Counsellor liasons with teachers and parents to facilitate the process!!!!Catering!Neeta Catering Services ( An ISO 22000 company ) has the sole objective to provide catering services of the highest quality and reliability to school children.  They have been successfully catering to VPMS for the last four years, serving fresh hot food from their hygienic, clean and well maintained kitchen within the school premises. !

All meals are meticulously planned keeping in mind the nutritional balance as per the child's RDA allowance and the variety, taste, likes and dislikes of the children. The menus are made well in advance and on approval from the school uploaded on the website for the parents reference. !

Fine Arts: We truly believe in our Motto ‘Harmony of Body and Mind’. The fine arts also provide learners with non-academic benefits such as promoting self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diverse culture. Fine arts include Art, Dramatics, Tabla, Indian and Western Music. We have expert and competent teachers to train the students. !!!!!!!!Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune Transport Department !A transportation system is managed by the school authority for bringing students in the school from their home and dropping them. The school manages a fleet of 12 school buses. Some of the buses are VPMS owned and others are on rent from a Pune based transport contractor.

The vehicles are maintained by the contractor. All drivers are physically fit and holds valid school bus driving license. They are familarised with the updated rules/regulations of motor vehicles driving. School Transport Department puts effort to inform the drivers about various instructions/orders of the school authority time to time.

School Management has also appointed female attendants for each trip of the buses to facilitate the boarding/alighting of students at their respective stops with care and safety.

The School Transport Department has formulated and implemented various policies/ regulations in order to ensure smooth functioning of the fleet of the school buses. All the buses are equipped with First Aid Boxes.

The school management has also organised a Transport Committee comprising distinguished (including members from RTO and Police Department) with the principal of the school functioning as Chairperson.

A separate transport department is functional which oversees the functioning of buses, drivers and attendants. The department also redresses grievances/complaints, if any, in a fast track mode.!School Transport Committee
