Safety and sanitation procedures Our requirement for licensing is 1,730 credited clock hours (about 13 months for a full-time student) and passing all required classes. The curriculum meets the requirements for theory and practical applications and prepares the students to take the Washington State written and practical exams for your cosmetology license. You can earn a certificate or an Associate of Technical Arts (ATA) degree.

5 Reasons Students Choose EvCC’s Cosmetology Program 1. Tuition is less than half the cost of a private

cosmetology school. Financial aid and a payment plan are available.

4. Hands-on learning Practice your skills in EvCC’s salon, which features 64 styling stations, a shampoo area, and a manicure and pedicure area. The salon offers a wide variety of services to the public under supervision from your instructors. Students also have the opportunity to attend accredited hair shows.

5. Internships and job opportunities EvCC’s School of Cosmetology partners with local salons to offer internships for college credit. The program also shares job opportunities with students.

Part-Time 12-4 p.m. Monday through Friday For Running Start and Sno-Isle Tech 12th grade only Starts Fall quarter

Spanish Program 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Monday through Friday. Starts Fall quarter

*Summer quarter is required

Program Requirements Grades and Attendance Students must earn a grade of 76 percent or higher in all theory and clinical courses to continue in the program. Students are also required to maintain 80 percent attendance in each course.

Equipment Students must purchase an equipment kit through EvCC’s School of Cosmetology. Students must also provide white and black dress code (pants or dress) and white or black shoes.

Quarterly Tuition: $2,300 per quarter Lab Fees: $80 per quarter Manikins: $100 per quarter
