  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is there an opportunity to complete undergraduate and graduate degree? Yes, students will earn credit toward a BS in ministry with an opportunity to earn a MA in Organizational leadership. Can I earn my entire degree via distance learning while serving on the field? Yes, Courses will be completed in a blended distance format. The classroom is the mission or ministry field. Will I be able to effectively be a missionary and Christian ministry leader while taking a full load of online classes? Yes, the program is specifically designed to meet accreditation guidelines while leveraging your mission and ministry as the basis for your learning experience. Mission and Ministry is your classroom. Can I receive student loans and funding for this degree? Technically, Federal financial aid is not available during your time with The Breathe Partners School of Ministry. However, our contracts with each university allows a student under Title IV to fill out a FAFSA and a student ‘may’ be eligible for a PELL Grant if they qualify. We do not advise ANY student loans although each university may offer them. Contact the Breathe School of Ministry office for further information. Are my credits fully transferable? Yes, if you are transferring them into an approved/contracted school. We cannot control the transferability of credits to other institutions. (nor can any university guarantee this) Each University has their own process of what can be transferred. When is my tuition and mission experience cost due? A student must pay 50% of annual cost at the beginning of each semester. (August 1 and December 1). The first year a student must pay in full at the beginning of each semester. A student may raise mission support toward their second, third and fourth years. The difference of support and actual tuition not realized will be due at the beginning of each semester. Mission support belongs to the mission and cannot be given to the ‘student’ and does ‘not’ belong to the student by law, however any money that is marked for the student while enrolled in our Breathe SOM will be applied to that students tuition. Do I have options where I serve while I am earning my degree? Yes, you can choose your classroom, but those options are limited to approved site partners or approved ministries. Those spaces include urban, developing world, UUPG’s in the world and the local church. What is the process for enrollment? Simply fill out the application at www.breathepartners.com/som Contact us at [email protected]
