John XXIII College is a Catholic, co-educational, single campus College with an enrolment of 1525

students from Pre Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is blessed by the stories of our three

founders - Blessed Pope Saint John XXIII, St. Ignatius of Loyola and Mary Ward. All of our Founders

were open to innovation, growth and change within the Catholic Church. The College is strongly

supported by the Sisters of the Institute of Blessed Virgin Mary (Loreto) and the Society of Jesus (The

Jesuits).

John XXIII College is a non-academically selective College that offers a comprehensive academic

program. There is a strong commitment to personal excellence for all students. A very special

feature of the College is the inclusive enrolment of children with physical and intellectual disabilities.

A broad range of extra-curricular activities is offered to students and the College has an excellent

reputation and specialist teachers in Drama and Music.

Opportunities to participate in team sports are available in well-organised inter-school competitions

and carnivals. Christian Service is an integral part of our program as well as a systematic Religious

Education program from K-12. Pastoral care is embedded in all aspects of the College program.

At John XXIII College our Vision and Mission statement proclaims:

We extend our warmest congratulations to our

Dux of the College Emily Hackett who has

obtained an ATAR of 99.90.

This is an extraordinary achievement and this

result has been rewarded with a General

Exhibition (awarded to the top 40 students in the

state).

Emily has also served the College with distinction

as Head Girl, and was the recipient of the John

XXIII Award recognising her involvement in all

aspects of College Life.

Note that the TEA was used for the first time in 2008. The TEA is out of 400, the TES is out of 510.

I was delighted that Religion and Life was a highly successful

subject for this cohort of students. The College was recognised

within the group of high achieving schools for this subject. Of

interest is our 4 students with ATARs of 99.00 or above all had

Religion and Life as their 1st or 2nd highest scoring subject (the

top 4 subjects contribute to an ATAR).

of 99.90.

We are proud of our 100% graduation

status as it shows the commitment of our

staff in ensuring that all students gained

WACE.

Our non-selective enrolment policy

means that we have in every cohort a

diverse range of students, and it is a great

celebration indeed for some of our

students who have struggled with

adversity to have successfully completed

the year.
