COMPONENT I: COMPREHENSIVE NEEDS ASSESSMENT (CNA)

DATA REVIEWED & ANALYZED:

Based on your schools NSPF results, identify what additional data have been reviewed and analyzed in development of the SPP.

NA NA NANA NA NANA NA NANA NA NANA NA NAOther: Other: Other:Other: Other: Other:

Summary Statement: Please provide a brief description for how the analyzed data will impact your Inquiry and Action Planning process.According to the 2013-2-14 NSPF performance rates demonstrated increases from 2012-2013 to 2013-2014 in the following area: Reading 74% to 78%. Decreases were demonstrated in the following areas: Math 72% to 68%, Writing 76% to 69% and Science from 79% to 75%. However, the latter areas also indicated stability according the to three-year trend data. There was an overall graduation rate increase from 65.45% to 73%. The AMO for 2015 of 70.53% was met and surpassed according to the 2014 NSPF. Implementation of the CCSS, PASS Proficiency Preparation, Compass Credit Retrieval, After School Tutoring, Common Assessments and Proficiency Preparation during Advisory contributed to improvements in the overall graduation rate. The above mentioned programs have been replicated, staffed, and funded for the 2014-2015 school year. Although the I.E.P and ELL sub groups increased in Reading proficiency, data indicated that continued efforts should be applied to all sub-groups in order to monitor and address achievement gaps. NSPF data shows that in math, there was a school-wide decrease in math proficiency. This indicates that efforts need to be applied to all sub-groups to monitor and address achievement gaps in math.

COMPONENT II: Inquiry Process & Action Plan Design- Priority Need/Goal 1

Based on the CNA, identify all that apply:☐ General Education ☐ FRL ☐ ELL ☐ IEP ☐ Other

Priority Need/Goal 1:Increase the percentage of students graduating each year.

Root Causes:The school was not able to provide an adequate number of alternative curriculum options for credit deficient students. APP Resource courses lacked appropriate rigor levels as compared to the general education setting. NCCAT results indicated that staff climate and culture contributed to student performance and overall proficiency rates. The NSPF reflects a high rate in ninth grade credit deficiency.

Measurable Objective 1:Increase the percent of Grade 10 students Proficient in Math from 47.1 to 60.0 by 2014 as measured by NVHSPE

Measurable Objective 2:Increase the percent of Grade 10 students Proficient in ELA from 50.5 to 60.0 by 2014 as measured by NVHSPE

Measurable Objective 3:Increase the percent of 12 Grade students Graduation Rate from 73.1 to 77.14 by 2014 as measured by NVHSPE

COMPONENT II: Inquiry Process & Action Plan Design- Priority Need/Goal 2

Based on the CNA, identify all that apply:☐ General Education ☐ FRL ☐ ELL ☐ IEP ☐ Other

Priority Need/Goal 2:Increase the number of students completing Advanced Placement (AP) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses each year.

Root Causes:There is a lack of qualified AP teachers on staff, a lack of sufficiently trained teachers to cover the AP curriculum, and inability to prepare students for the AP exams. Exposure to rigorous Tier I instruction needs to increase to match the demand of advanced course work and the rigor of CCSS. The AP test results reflected in the NSPF show a low pass rate of AP tests.

Measurable Objective 1:Increase the percent of students Graduating with an Advanced Diploma from 24.1 to 30 by 2014 as measured by NSPF

Measurable Objective 2:Increase the percent of students AP proficient/college credit from 18.2 to 23 by 2014 as measured by NSPF
