Look at the 3 numbered examples… 8 YR MODEL for cohort year 2019/2020 - last 2 years of data are not yet available

Final year of data is not used in thefive-year model
5 YR MODEL for cohort year 2020/2021 - not yet available Cohort started Grade 8 in 2015/2016
SCHOOL_YEAR = "cohort final year" (Year 6 of the cohort)
The numbered rows show 4 entirely different cohorts that appear to end in the same year ("graduation year"). But note that the 5-year model is deemed to end in Year 6 - not Year 5. (Yes, this can be confusing!)
7 YR MODEL for cohort year 2018/2019 - cohort started Grade 8 in 2013/2014
8 YR MODEL for cohort year 2017/2018 - cohort started Grade 8 in 2012/2013
6 YR MODEL for cohort year 2019/2020 - cohort started Grade 8 in 2014/2015
Assume that the 2019/2020 year has just ended, and you are interested in completion rates for the model labelled '2019/2020' - i.e., the end of the sixth year after the students in the cohort started Grade 8. Remember: if you're wanting to look at the extended models (7- and 8-year rates), and this is the 6th year of the model, the data don't exist for these 2 extended models yet because it's in the future!
