Some FactsThe first metals that were discovered were

copper and gold.

Elements and MetalsMajority of the elements in the periodic table are

metals. 86 out of 122 elements on the periodic table are metals.

More FactsAll metals are ordered in their reactivity order, for

example the most reactive metal will go on the top, and the least reactive will go on the bottom.

Properties of MetalsMetals have different properties allowing them

to have their own reasons of use. For example, aluminum is made to build air craft structures because it is light so it will stop it from falling flat but at the same time is strong enough to keep it high.

History of MetalsIn the old times the color of metals was very

important because it was what differed them from each other since they didn’t have the science to know the difference, so it was the only way to recognize them. By the end of the 17th century the only metals that were known were gold, tin, silver, platinum, copper, lead, iron, mercury, antimony, bismuth, arsenic, and zinc.

18th Century By the 18th century the metals that were

discovered were cobalt, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, tellurium, tungsten, uranium, zirconium, titanium, yttrium, beryllium, and chromium.

Does A connection or a relationship exist between the re-activity of a metal and when it

was discovered?Yes because when a metal is discovered the

reactivity, the oxygen reacts on the metal, for example iron, it becomes iron oxide, the more it’s exposed to fresh air the more it changes, and this is all because of our modern science and man’s genius.
