OVERVIEW: The STEM Robotics Challenge is designed for teams to get innovative with design processes. Teams are given ample opportunities to not only develop a completely unique design for their robotic rover but also achieve a higher degree of sophistication through more advanced programming tools like NI LabVIEW. The final competition takes place on a 16ft x 16ft simulated lunar surface. Based on the performance of the group on the first three days of the program, different levels of difficulties are set for its final competition.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Teamwork, Problem Solving, Fiscal Responsibility, Communication, Adaption to Unexpected Problems, The Drive to be Successful, and most important, the ability to have fun through science, technology, math and engineering.

LIMITATIONS: This event is limited to a grand total of 200 pupils due to its specialization. We highly stress the importance of getting registered as soon as possible to ensure your place is secure.

GROUP DETAILS: Minimum of 10 students per school; no maximum. Students ages 13 through 18 may participate; both girls and boys.

ADDITIONAL DATES: If your school or group is unable to participate on one of the two weeks indicated, please know that you may book this as an independent tour on any week that we have open availability. Please contact us for enquiries. Please do understand that if you opt to book an independent week, rates as well as inclusions are subject to change.

Mission: Robotics Challenge Mission Robotics offers students a concentration in robotics and gives students hands-on technical skills. Mission Robotics explores the principles, tools and skills of programming and building robots combined with team building, programming and obstacle course challenges. Camp KSC Mission Robotics encourages imagination and interaction with one of the fastest growing areas in STEM. Teams get more innovative with their design process and are given ample opportunities to not only develop a completely unique design for their robotic rover but also achieve a higher degree of sophistication through more advanced programming tools like NI LabVIEW. The curriculum is designed to simulate Robotic Missions to the Moon and Mars. The final competition takes place on a 16ft x 16ft simulated lunar surface. Based on the performance of the group on the first three days of the program, different levels of difficulties are set for its final competition.
