Information and Support for Dallas ISD EasyIEP™ Users

What is Missing? Eligibility Events When an ARD is held and there is a new FIE, Transfer FIE or a Continued Eligibility from a REED, an Eligibility event is required. Student’s that need an Eligibility events usually have a red status with a T in the center. Eligibility Events are created by selecting the green Create Eligibility Event button on the Eligibility Determination screen. Always select the Create Eligibility Event button when available. What if I missed the button and the student’s status is red with a T? Contact the SDMS Help Desk!

EasyIEP Tips Revision ARDs Revision ARD date error message can be resolved by contacting SDMS. Help Desk: (972) 794-3550 & SDMS@dallasisd.org

When multiple Revision ARDs have been held and need to be finalized, email the Student ID numbers to the Help Desk. SDMS@dallasisd.org Once the dates have been corrected, a confirmation email will be sent.

Placement is not available to change in a Revision ARD

Time can be changed on the Instructional and Related Services screens in a Revision ARD. However, the LRE on the Placement screen cannot be changed. If time for Instructional and Related Services need to be modified, an Annual ARD will need to be completed.

Ctrl/F Search for ARD Team members and errors with Ctrl/F. On the Keyboard: Select Ctrl and F at the same time Type name/word in search box Name/word will be highlighted Select Enter to search through the screen To exit find feature, select X next to the search box

The Find Feature can be used on any screen in EasyIEP.

FIE Writer Tips Reevaluation Referral Event

There is now a Reevaluation Referral Event that is required to finalize a PWN for Eval-uation and Consent for a Re-evaluation or Special Request. The green button “PWN for Evaluations and Consent” in the REED, no longer has the PWN for Evaluations and Consent screens to fill out.

When the “PWN for Evaluations and Consent” button is selected on the REED screen the evaluator is asked to confirm the need for a Reevaluation Referral event.

EasyIEP Tips cont. Removing Old Services As new ARDs are created, semesters will change. Expired semester services will need to be removed. Select the “Del” check box next to each service when an expired semester says “To be removed”. Save the screen and the expired services will disappear. If this step is not completed, the expired services will show up on various reports.

Service Providers on the ARD Team Some services require a Service Provider. The service provider’s name will appear in the dropdown for the service when they are on the ARD Team screen.

Selections in the ARD Notice determine the titles that prefill on the Deliberations, not selections on the ARD Team.

Removing a staff member from the ARD Team will cause the student to be removed from that staff member’s case load.

FIE Writer Tips Reevaluation Referral Event Cont.

The Reevaluation Referral event will be generated on the student history. A Reevaluation Referral event is required to finalize a Final Parent Consent to Eval-uate event on the Student History. The Final Parent Consent to Evaluate event is required to finalize an FIE.
