Embedded Reference Samples:

Include short quotations in the body of the essay. A bunch of balls “are launched with

Longer quotations have no quotation marks. They are double-spaced and indented only

on the left side by one inch:

Neither a borrower, nor a lender be;

Embedded Reference Sample using the author’s name as an introductory point and

therefore not needing to put it in the embedded reference.

Lee expels her need to secure humanity and innocence when she has Atticus say to his

children, “Remember, it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird”(103).
