    HELPFUL TIPS & REMINDERS Download your confirmation sheet from the FinalInformation email or from the website. Sign the waiver at the bottom of your confirmation sheet Photo I.D. - Bring your Confirmation Sheet and photo I.D.to the Expo to pick up your race number. Pick up your own race packet and number at the Expo NO EXCEPTIONS! Your photo I.D. will be checked. Youmay not pick up a race number for anyone else.

    Corral Change Proceed to the Corral Change Table atthe Expo if you would like to change to a faster corral. Complete the Medical Information on the back of yourrace number. Wear your race number on the front of all clothing duringthe race.

    HEALTH & FITNESS EXPOpresented byPick up your registration packet, timing tag, swag bag anBrooks tech tee at the Expo. Official race merchandise isavailable at the Official Merchandise Store, and a varietyof exhibitors will display and sell running apparel, footweand health and fitness products.Check the website for Expo clinics and speakers you wilnot want to miss on Thursday and Friday.

    CONFIRMATION SHEETS Number Pick-UpBring your confirmation sheet and a photo ID to the Expoto pick up your race number. The confirmation sheetincludes your race number and start corral. If you need tchange to a faster corral, proceed to the Corral ChangeTable located in the packet pick-up area after you havepicked up your number. There are no corral changes tofaster corrals on race morning. When you receive yourrace number at the Expo, be sure to complete the MedicInformation on the back. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUROWN RACE PACKET AND RACE NUMBER AT THEEXPO PRIOR TO THE RACE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    EXPO PARKING

    Thursday, June 23- The standard parking fee at theQwest Event Center is $11 until 5 pm. All Expo attendeevisiting the expo before 5 pm are advised to tell theparking attendant on-site that they are visiting the Expo tguarantee the standard parking fee. Due to a 7 pmSounders MLS home game on Thursday evening, aspecial event rate parking fee of $30 will go into effectafter 5 pm at Qwest Event Center and privately owned loin the vicinity. Expect heavy game day traffic and

    congestion. Other options for getting to the Expo includewalking from most downtown hotels or riding one of thefree local buses within the Free-Ride Zone downtown.

    Friday, June 24- The standard parking fee at the QwestEvent Center is $11 and will apply to parking all day.     SWITCHING RACESThe race is sold out, so registration will not be availableover race weekend. However, if you would like to switchraces, an upgrade fee will be charged if you switch fromthe half to the full marathon. You can exchange your racenumber and pay a $35 fee at the Marathon Upgradetable in the packet pick-up area at the Expo ONLY. If youplan to switch from the full to the half marathon, you doNOT need to notify us. On race day, simply proceed to thehalf start line and let a corral captain guide you to theappropriate corral.

    COME TO THE EXPO EARLY AND WIN!The Expo will be extremely crowded on both Thursday

    and Friday after 4pm due to out-of-town arrivals, rush hourtraffic and stadium parking congestion for the Soundersand Mariners evening home games. We stronglyencourage participants from the Seattle-metro area to visitthe Expo on Thursday OR Friday BEFORE 3 pmto avoidtraffic and long lines and to enjoy first pick when shoppingat the Official Merchandise Store and vendor booths.

    EARLY EXPO RAFFLESAll registered participants that pick up their race packeton either Thursday OR Friday before 3 pmwillAUTOMATICALLY be entered into an hourly raffle to win

    GETTING THE START LINE ON RACE MORNING

    SHUTTLES TO THE START LINEFree shuttles to the start line run from 4 am 6 am andare for participants only. Race numbers are required toride. If possible, walk to the shuttle loading zones. Arriveearly to avoid long lines. There are two shuttle loadingzones within a mile walk of most downtown hotels.

    If you are driving into Seattle, carpool and arrive early toavoid traffic. Paid parking is available near bothdowntown shuttle loading zones. Most downtown parkinglots are privately owned and charge cash fees rangingfrom $10 - $30, with most major lots charging $20.

    There are NO shuttles back to the start line AFTER therace.

    START LINE RUNNER DROP-OFF

    There is NO parking at the start line; participants may bedropped off only. Visit the website for complete directionson start line drop-off.For full details on shuttles and parking, visit the racewebsite: seattle.competitor.com.Click on Event Details, then Transportation.

    START LINE VILLAGEUpon arrival to Gateway Corporate Center in Tukwila onrace morning, proceed to the Start Line Village for all yourpre-race needs. Fuel up on Citrus-flavored Cytomax,

    Arrowhead water, and other pre-race snacks. You will alsofind a medical tent, UPS Gear Check trucks and portabletoilets.The Information and Solutions booths are also located inthe Start Line Village to answer any questions.Please arrive AT LEAST one hour before your race starttime.

    UPS GEAR CHECKThe swag bag that you pick up at the Expo also doublesas your gear bag.On race morning, please affix your gear check tag(attached to your race number) to your gear bag beforeyou leave it at UPS Gear Check. Gear Check will be opeat the Start Village from 5:00 am until 6:30 am. A long roof brown trucks will be arranged alphabetically and bytruck number. Drop your gear off before you head to youassigned corral and UPS will transport your gear to thefinish line. After the race, retrieve your bag at the GearCheck pick up located outside the finish Secure Zone. Abags must be claimed by 3:00 pm. Please DO NOT leavvaluables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The eventstaff and gear check personnel are not responsible flost or stolen items.

    START CORRALSYou are assigned a race number and corresponding corbased on your projected finish time the faster your timethe closer your corral will be to the start line. Runners caenter the corrals at 6:00 am. If you believe you have beeassigned the wrong corral, bring your race number to theCorral Change table in the packet pick-up area at theExpo. No corral changes on race morning.

    WAVE STARTThe event will participate in a wave start. This will enablea comfortable starting position for runners and walkers oall paces.When the gun fires, only the first corral will be released.The rest of the participants will be held at the start line. Apre-determined intervals (every 1- 2 minutes), the nextcorral will be released. By using this staggered startingmethod, the pack will be spread out and allow everyrunner to settle into their racing rhythm from their first steto the finish line. This will allow sufficient room along the

    course for the marathon and half marathon, and at thefinish line without affecting individuals ChronoTrack timeor the time participants have to complete the race. Allrunners should still plan to arrive for the 7:00 am statime.

    Wearing an extra layer on race morning at the start line?Leftover and discarded clothing at the start and along thefirst few miles of the course will be collected and donatedto the local charityNorthwest Center.

    SPECTATOR INFORMATION

    The marathon and half marathon finish line is located onOccidental Ave on the West side of Qwest Field indowntown Seattle.

    Important Notes:Walk to the Finish:If possible, walk to the finish line.The finish at Qwest Field is one mile from most downtownhotels. Walking will save you time, avoid traffic andcongestion, and help green the event.

    Free Ride Zone:You may also catch any of severalbuses that run South down 5

    ndAve to Qwest

    Field. Many surrounding hotels are within the downtownfree ride zone there is no charge to ride buses withinthis downtown zone. You can also catch a taxi for a shortride to the finish line at Qwest Field.

    Parking at the Finish:There are large parking garages atQwest Event Center and Safeco Garage, and many otherparking lots in the area. Most downtown parking lots areprivately owned and will charge a parking fee ranging from$10 - $30.

    There is NO parking at the start line. Shuttles to thestart line are for participants only. REFER TO THEPARKING AND SHUTTLE INFORMATION FORFURTHER DETAILS AND DIRECTIONS.

    FINISH LINE

    SECURE ZONE for Participants OnlyBoth the Marathon & Marathon finish in downtownSeattle outside of Qwest Field, home of the SeattleSeahawks and Seattle Sounders. After crossing theFinish Line, all race participants will enter the SecureZone, a fenced off area for runners only, to receive afinishers medal, water, Cytomax, and post-race

    refreshments. Please be courteous to your fellow runnersand only take one of each product. Once you exit theSecure Zone and enter into the Finish Line Festival toreunite with friends and familyl, you may NOT re-enter theSecure Zone.

    Marathon BarAs the Official Energy Bar, Marathon Bar encouragesyou to stay on, keep on, and rock on! Fuel your run withMarathon Bar.

    FINISH LINE FESTIVAL/ FAMILY REUNIONLook for tall alphabet signs (A-Z) and plan in advance tomeet your family and friends at a pre-determined letter.With thousands of runners and spectators, it is advisableto discuss a reunion plan with your family and friendsBEFORE to the race.

    AWARDS & RESULTSAge group awards will be presented 3-deep in all agedivisions for both male and female categories. Age groupawards will be mailed within six to eight weeks after theevent. In accordance with USATF Rules, age groupawards will be determined by chip time.

    OFFICIAL RACE RESULTSOfficial race results will be posted by 7 pm (PST) on raceday, Saturday, June 25 on competitor.com.
