    It does not take place of food for bio plastics or bio fuels.

    in 3 years seaweed biodiesel price for gallon changed from US$ 100,00 to US$ 2,00. 2007 - 2010. Price in the future will be more viable. It may affects bioplastic costs of production.

    The Irish government is investing in seaweed production + EU has a program of investing in bio plastic areas till the year 2020.

    The increase of PLA production from 2012 to 2017 is going to be over 2/3.
