Yes, if he/she meets the cut-off (2NA: 60%) and is interested to take.

takes ‘O’ Level Math or NA Math?

The demands of O Math are higher than

NA Math. O Level Math opens up more

options for post-secondary courses.

Can a NA student take NA Math and Additional Math?

No. The topics covered in Add Math assumes

the full knowledge of O Math. Students might

not be able to handle the demands. 59

FAQ (EXPRESS) If I’m not eligible to take AM, are my pathways

to my dream courses limited?

In JC, you NEED Add Math in order to take H2 Math (H1 being the easiest). Hence, work hard if this is your goal.

For entry to Poly courses, either Elementary OR Additional Mathematics is required. It is good to have AM. If not, you can bridge the gap by working hard in Poly.
