New Moon prayers ...

Remember, the monthly New Moon prayers are not to be confused withastrology. The Scriptures clearly warn against any/all forms of astrology:

And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and thestarsall the heavenly arraydo not be enticed into bowing down tothem and worshiping things the LORD your GOD has apportioned to allthe nations under heaven (Deuteronomy 4:19).

Although Purim is in Adar II, we need to be praying against the spirit of thedestroyer from Adar I to Adar II.

As we prepare to enter this month of Adar, let us gird our loins with fasting andprayer. Let us call upon Adonai Elohim, the LORD our GOD. Let us pray that

the LORD will rescue His people (Jews and Gentiles) from the plots of modernday Haman company (who seek to kill steal and destroy).

Pray especially for Israel and African nations like Nigeria now in the face of allthe terrorism that they face from their enemies. Pray that South Africa shallhold a successful National Conference of its ethnic nationalities in this seasonthat will translate into a new constitution that heaven has planned, despite theHaman company in South Africa.Please meditate on the entire Book of Esther as you fast and pray. Further reference to the month of Adar can be found in the Book of Ezra. Forexample, despite the hardship and hostilities faced by the Diaspora returneesduring the time of Ezra (see the Book of Nehemiah, for example, Chapter 4),the second Temple was completed on the 3rdday of Adar, and the dedicationwas celebrated with great joy (Ezra 6:15).

Let us pray for the finishing anointing in all our tasks this month so that we canenter the month of Passover (Nisan, New Moon of 30 March) prepared toadvance to our next assignment(s) in Messiah.

Beloved, in this month:

Which witches and wizards call the black moon of enchantment,

And the spirit of Haman wants to wrestle with sorcery and other satanic

This reflects how fervently Rachel had turned and persistently sought the Lordin prayer for the privilege of bringing Israels ancestors into the world. Itappears that Rachels weeping and pleading are not only due to her desire tobear Jacobs children, but are prophetic acts of intercession for the futuregenerations that will be born and who will be exiled from the Land of Promise.

Her cry reaches the Throne of God and He assures, including through theprophet Jeremiah, the eventual return of the children of Israel to His Land:

Thus says the Lord: "A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitterweeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for

her children, because they are not." Thus says the Lord: "Keep your voice fromweeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says theLord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope for

your future, says the Lord, and your children shall come back to their owncountry (Jeremiah 31:15-17).

Leah, and not Rachel, would be buried in the tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron,together with Jacob. Rachels legacy would be to remain alone and distinct inher burden for all the children of Israel through the highways of history. Weread in Genesis 35:19-20, So Rachel died, and she was buried on the way toEphrath (that is, Bethlehem), and Jacob set up a pillar upon her grave; it is thepillar of Rachel's tomb, which is there to this day. There is some debate aboutthe actual site of this tomb but, indeed to this day, many children of Israel,particularly those who have returned to the Land according to the Promise ofthe God of Israel, visit the Tomb of Rachel to cry to the Lord for their ownchildren.

Jacobs Blessing ...When Jacob assembled his sons to his deathbed, he blessed Naftali asfollows: Naftali is a hind let loose, who delivers imri shafer beautifulsayings (Genesis 49:21).

Interestingly, Proverbs 5:19 compares the Torah to a beloved hind. Apossible reason for this is found in a verse in the Talmud, which states that justas a hind always remains beloved to her mate so too the Torah remains

beloved to those who study it. The Midrash explains that the word shaferalludes to the word lshaper, to perfect or to beautify, and to the wordshofar. The Tribe of Naftali would obey and perfect, i.e., teach and clarify thewords, or sayings, of the Torah that were given at Sinai with the sound of theshofar.

By comparing him to a hind, a female deer, let loose, we can surmise that acharacteristic of the Tribe would be alacrity the ability to swiftly reach highplaces and to be fruitful in their undertakings. Indeed, once the Israelites werein the Land, the northern Galilee area allotted to Naftali proved to be extremelyfertile and was the first to rapidly produce much fruit.

The Scriptures also describe how the Tribe of Naftali were ready and ablesoldiers, quick to defend their nation. With alacrity this Tribe, led by Barak benAvinoam, joined the prophetess Deborah and fought to defeat Sisera and hismighty army (Judges 4:10).

When Moses blessed the Tribe, he proclaimed, Oh Naftali, satisfied with favor,and full of the blessing of the Lord ... (Deuteronomy 33:23). This was ablessed Tribe indeed; those satisfied with their lot in life. They studied andshared Torah, produced an abundance of olives, fish, and fruits of the Land,and enjoyed the good favor of God and man.

It is not surprising to find that this is the area where Simon Peter and hisbrothers lived and which Yshua (Jesus) loved. Here he performed manymiracles and gave his key discourse on blessings on the Mount of Beatitudes.The green, fruitful surrounding and the beauty of the fresh water Lake Kinneretglimmering below could not have stood in greater contrast to the dry, barrenwilderness landscape of Mount Sinai. However, a dark spiritual shadowcovered the land and the people were suffering under harsh Romandomination; their hearts yearned for Messiah and Redemption. Now, here inthe Galilee stronghold of the Roman gentiles, they beheld the Light of theTorah Incarnate in their midst.

... And leaving Nazareth [Jesus] went and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, inthe territory of Zebulun and Naftali, that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah

might be fulfilled: "In the land of Zebulun and the land of Naftali, toward thesea, across the Jordan, Galilee of the gentiles, the people who sat in darkness

have seen a great light, and for those who sat in the region and shadow ofdeath light has dawned" (Matthew 4:13-16).

Adar is the twelfth and last month of the Biblical year, which begins in Nissanthe month of liberation from Egyptian slavery. In the Hebrew calendar there isa leap year every two or three years, occurring seven times during a nineteenyear cycle. This is done in order to correct the eleven day discrepancybetween the length of the Hebrew lunar year and the solar year of the secularcalendar. In a leap year, an extra month of Adar is added; thus there are twomonths of Adar, Adar Aleph (I) and Adar Bet (II).

Interestingly, the question arose as to which Tribe could be associated with thisadded leap month. The consensus was that, as it was unique and somehowset apart from the regular months and yet helped keep the flow of the monthsin harmonious alignment, it should be linked with the Tribe of Levi, thedescendants of Moses and Aaron. Levi had no portion of the Land for himselfand the priests of Levi lived amongst the other Tribes and went up to live andserve in the Temple when their allotted time came. The unique month of AdarAleph is a good month specifically to remember that as Gods people we allare called to be a kingdom of priests; those who serve Him faithfully andshare the light and harmonious unity of His Kingdom with others.

The happy holiday of Purim, when the scroll of Esther is read incommemoration of GODs salvation of the Jews of Persia, always falls on 14thAdar. In a leap year it is celebrated in Adar Bet.

The story of Esther speaks of GODs people who are in exile and the defeat of

the enemy who plots to destroy them. It illustrates the historical threat ofAmalek; and the timeless promise of GODs salvation and ultimate victory.Esthers cry echoes the cry of her matriarch Rachel, and GOD again hearsfrom Heaven and brings deliverance. Faithful GOD and mighty Deliverer! Agood reason to celebrate with a party, and to put up a sign to remind yourself,

Every Hebrew month is TRADITIONALLY linked with:

A letter of the Hebrew alphabet. A constellation sign (the stars), the zodiac are constellations. Psalm

119:1-3says that the heavens declare the Glory of GOD. If we dont getinto GOD's Way of understanding the future, you will fall into either anoccult way or your own way, called humanism. Everyone has some kindof system that they align with (even if it is their own system).

The following points regarding this new month are based on these principles.

Month of the Tribe of Naphtali, which means sweetness to me. It is atime of celebration so that your curse is overturned and things becomesweet to you. Note Deuteronomy 33:23, Naphtali is abounding withfavor of the LORD ...

A month of eloquent communication and expressions of joy andlaughter. Genesis 49:21, Naphtali is a deer let loose; he uses beautifulwords (NKJV). We need to enter celebration mode. We need tocelebrate the end of our problem(s). Declare that GOD has brought youout of the old and into a time of great favor.

Month of Pisces, the fishes ... finding your supply in the hidden world.There is an identity for you in the invisible world. Dont always bepractical (really wanting to be accepted and to conform). No, we mustfind our spiritual identity. The demons know it, and can see it ... wemight as well step into that identity.

Your true identity should begin to be reflected this month, spiritually as

well as physically. GOD has cycles to help us come into our identity ...things of the spirit will be reflected in the physical.

The month of letter Kaf (this Hebrew letter looks like a mask). It is a timeof removing any masks and entering into laughter. Enter into the true joyof who you are ... one needs to remove the mask(s).

A month to overturn worry and anxiety. A month to overturn anxietyabout your supply if you remove anxiety, then you can see yoursupply. If you remain ruled by anxiety, then you will not be able to seethe provision GOD has for you.

The month of a sense of laughter, abounding joy, the witnessing of lifeentering into darkness, the advantage of light over darkness, the powerof barrenness being broken. No matter what the darkness, LAUGH andwatch GOD permeate it. Light permeates darkness; when see this,barrenness will break.

Begin to laugh at fear (Psalm 34:4-6).

Month of the spleen. Pull out any roots of depression and despair sofaith can break through into our thought processes.

The month that Moses was born ... thus, your deliverance is forming.See deliverance is already forming for you. Take a look at whatever isholding you captive and declare GODs Truth, that He is already formingdeliverance and freedom for you and that it is on the way!

A month to develop your war strategies against the anti-Messiah spirit.Dont let the giants produce fear in you ... guard against idolatry. Amalek

will try to come. Dont end the year in fear. Look at Exodus 17:8-16,when Moses hands were raised, Israel had victory. When his handswere lowered, they were being defeated. For us this means we cankeep our hands raised by staying in faith and joy. This will keep us inthe victory of the LORD.

A time for wrong decrees to be broken off of you. If there are wrongdecrees, they will encircle you and cause others to say the samenegative things about you. You need to break off the negative thingsdecreed about you. We encourage you to take time to pray and ask theHoly Spirit to reveal some wrong decrees, both self-made, and others-

made. Forgive those who uttered them, apply the Blood of Yshua[Jesus] on them, and then break them in His Mighty Name!
