WHO WE ARE?

The Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented

(CDGT) established in 2010 under the School of Science for offering

provisions to the gifted learners.

Mission

• Provide alternative learning opportunities for gifted learners in Math and

Science;

• Develop advanced curricula that challenge and inspire students to learn

and broaden their knowledge in Math and Science;

• Help parents understand intellectual/affective characteristics of their

gifted kids.

• Demand for cohesive, systematic gifted programs

• UST faculty have over 10 years experience in developing gifted programs

Why Dual Program?

Dual Program targets at providing an alternative pathway for students who are

gifted in certain areas so that they can:

1. spend most of their time at secondary schools for a healthy, holistic

personal development;

2. devote part of their time at HKUST studying subjects of their interest at

an accelerated pace and earn university credits.
