CAMPING sites are 16 metres x 4 metres – they are for the duration of the show only with electricity available. PLEASE NOTE – If you require more area than 16 x 4 metres then you will have to pay for more than one camp site. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY The Stewards reserve the right to add to, substitute, alter or delete any event or condition. If, in the opinion of the judge, an exhibit is not worthy of a prize or is out of the class, the judge has the right to refuse to make an award. THE DECISION OF THE COMMITTEE WILL BE FINAL ON ALL POINTS WITHOUT RECOURSE. All competitors entering and competing in Section 1 (Horses) do so at their own risk. The Society accepts no responsibility and receives the entries only under these conditions. All entries will be deemed to have been made and received subject to these conditions and to be under the rules of the Malanda Pastoral, Agricultural & Industrial Society Inc., as well as QCAS Rules for Show Societies. Horses to have been domiciled in the appropriate areas of the old shires for the 6 months preceding the Malanda Show District = Any horse which has been in the district for the 6 months immediately preceding the Show and is the property of a resident in the areas which were once the Shires of Eacham, Atherton, Herberton, Mareeba, Mulgrave, Johnstone, Cairns, Douglas, or Cardwell (Pony Club Zone 18) Local = Open to Residents of what was once Eacham Shire. Horses to have been domiciled in the area for the 6 months preceding the Malanda Show. Maiden = An animal which, up to the time of starting the event, has never won a first prize in a hack class in competition at any Agricultural show. Novice = A horse or pony which has never won a Novice or Open Championship at any Agricultural Show. Class is lost once a horse competes in an Open class and is placed either First, Second or Third, or wins Champion Novice. The first five places at the end of the series receiving sponsored prize money as follows: 1st $400, 2nd $250, 3rd $150, 4th $70, 5th $30

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO ALL EXHIBITORS

INDEMNITY FORMS

MUST be completed and lodged at the office PRIOR to competing in any event.

Prize Money will NOT be paid to Competitors who have failed to supply the office with signed Indemnity Forms PRIOR to

competing. If the Office does not hold a copy of your Horse Health

Declaration Form then your horse WAS NOT ON THE GROUNDS AND NO PRIZE MONEY WILL BE PAID.

It is your responsibility to make sure your forms are lodged at

the office PRIOR to competing.

PRIZE MONEY

Prize Money will NOT be available from the Show Office until the time stated: Please See details of times in Schedule.

Prize Money is only available for collection from the office until

the 28th September 2017 – Prize money not collected by this date may be deposited into your bank account if details are

given.

NOTE Exhibitors have the option for prize money to be sent by cheque after the show – please provide postal address details

on your Indemnity Forms.
