Senior Phase Benchmarking Tool• A new online tool designed to analyse,
compare and improve the performance of pupils in the senior phase
• Will be used by secondary schools, local authorities and Education Scotland
• Aims to encourage: o professional reflection o a collaborative approach to looking at data and
working together as part of the improvement process
• Will replace STACs (Standard Tables and Charts) from August 2014
Emphasis on educational outcomesPresents a rounded picture by providing data on four measures which support Curriculum for Excellence:• Increasing post-school participation• Improving attainment in literacy and numeracy• Improving attainment for all• Tackling disadvantage by improving the attainment
of lower attainers relative to higher attainers

Encourages the user to consider a range of outcomes for learners
Filters
Possible to filter information; including by gender, age, looked after children and English as an additional language
