STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Emphasizing cru- cial need of taking adminis- tration to the door steps of rural community, Commissioner Secretary Information and Public Relations, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, today exhorted the officers to camp in their allot- ted Panchayats and take on- the-spot decisions on the issues raised by the people. "Synergized effort and coordination between various departments has to be ensured to mitigate difficul- ties faced by people and effectively", he said during an interactive session held at Panchayat Jhajjar Kotli. ACD Jammu, Aijaz Kesar, Block Development Officer, Vishav Partap Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Jhajjar Kotli, Reena Thappa, Tehsildar and senior func- tionaries of PHE,PDD, RDD, Forest, Social Welfare, Tourism, Police, Health, Education and panchs, local people of Panchayat were present on the occasion. KATHUA : Gram Sabha meetings, constitution of vil- lage health and sanitation committees, social audit com- mittees, procurement com- mittees and agriculture com- mittees besides inspection of various government institu- tions in the villages of 44 panchayats of 4 blocks of the district marked the day six of 'Back to Village' pro- gramme under the third phase. During Gram Sabha meet- ings at Jarai, Changran, Khokhyal, Godal, Durang and Thanthu panchayats of the district, villagers raised demand for fresh survey of left over beneficiaries for var- ious government schemes, community sanitary complex, compensation due to crop loss, old age pension, scholar- ship for students, water sup- ply schemes, irrigation sys- tems, procurement centre for agri produce, transformers to augment PDD infra and repair of damaged roads. DDC, Vikas Kundal, along with ADDC, Dr. Shubra Sharma, ACD, Sukhpaul Singh, BDO and concerned Patwari visited several pan- chayats. The designated officers to the panchayats distributed MGNREGA job cards, sapling of citrus fruits and LPG connections under Ujjwala Yojana to the benefi- ciaries. They also conducted plantation and cleanliness drive in their respective pan- chayats. School, Health Centre and Anganwari Centers were also inspected by the designated officers. SAMBA: District Development Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan, convened a meeting with the district officers to review the prepa- rations for 3rdPhase of 'Back to Village' programme com- mencing tomorrow. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta, Programme Officer, ICDS Project Jyoti Rani Slathia, Assistant Commissioner Development, Muddasir Latif Tasir, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Kumar, besides senior offi- cers of other departments and nodal officers of the pro- gramme. The meeting discussed con- tents and activities to be undertaken during 3rdphase of the programme by differ- ent departments. It was informed that 35 panchayats of three blocks including Samba, Purmandal and Vijaypur would be covered under the 3rd phase of flagship pro- gramme. In 3rd Phase of the pro- gramme, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Department Navin Kumar Choudhary will be the visit- ing officer in Panchayat Chajwal of Samba block. Various other activities like nukkad natak, games, inau- guration of wells, toilets, playgrounds, farmers orient- ed programmes, gram sabhas are also the part of the pro- gramme, the meeting was further informed. UDHAMPUR: During Day 6 of the Back to Village initiative, visiting officers covered 112 Gram Panchayats out of the total 115 panchayats being taken up in the district under Phase 2 of the initiative. Under the ambit of this extensive exercise, several activities were conducted in several panchayats including Gram Panchayats; inspec- tions of public infrastructure, schools and ration depots; Anganwadi centers and mid day meals in schools, planta- tion and cleanliness drives among others. Other activities including distribution of soil health cards, job cards, KCCs, inau- guration of PMAY houses & play fields, programmes on drug de-addiction, constitu- tion of social audit commit- tees also took place during the day. Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal during his visit to Panchayat Upper Meer Block Panchari held interactions with locals and educated them on impor- tance of de-worming of chil- dren, proper hand washing and maintaining basic hygiene in the village and day to day activities. He also urged PRI members to undertake efforts for preser- vation of water bodies. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Dr Piyush Singla took extensive tour of various panchayats of the district to review and moni- tor the execution of B2V pro- gramme. Besides, other officers also visited panchayats under B2V including Director Technical Education Dr Ravi Shankar who visited pan- chayat Chani Tehsil Majalta, Director Tourism Jammu OP Bhagat who visited Panchayat Dalsar and Director Horticulture Jammu Raj Kumar Katoch who visited Panchayat Mansar. REASI: As part of the Back to Village initiative, Principal Secretary, HU&DD, Dheeraj Gupta, distributed Pension Payment Orders among the beneficiar- ies of Sirakotla Panchayat in block Panthal. Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner State Tax, Praduman Krishan Bhat, distributed Pension Payment Orders among the beneficiar- ies at Kotli Bajalian in block Katra and AD Planning, SRLM (UMEED) Jammu, Harish Chander, distributed Pension Payment Orders among the beneficiaries at Akhli Buttan, in block Katra. Issuance of Ayushman Bharat cards at Kotli Manhotrian B, in block Reasi, folk dances and cul- tural programmes at Kanthan A, block Arnas and construction of check dam through Shram Daan at Jij B in block Jij Bagli besides gram panchayats and sports events at schools were the other activities conducted on day 6 of the programme. Chairman PCB, Jammu, Ravi Kumar Kesar; Deputy Secretary, PDD, Kuldip Kumar Sepolia, Under Secretary, Technical Education, Kiran Raina, Private Secretary, School Education Department, Vijay Kumar Koul; Executive Director Mubarak Mandi Complex, Deepika Kumari Sharma and Deputy Director, Handloom, Ravi Mohan Khajuria were the visiting officers of today's event. POONCH: Day 6 of "Back to Village" program wit- nessed mega Gram Sabhas with extensive interactions, deliberations among the PRIs, government func- tionaries and the locals on welfare and development concerns of 58 Panchayats of the district with the visiting officers assessing the griev- ances and development needs and the potential as well of the area. During the Gram Sabahs, the designated officers were apprised of several issues by the people which inter alia included improvement of link roads in villages, ugradation of schools, water supply pipes, Bank Branch, trans- formers and others. DC Poonch Rahul Yadav visited several panchayats in sub division Mendhar includ- ing Mankote lower, Uchaad, Uchaad Uper, Kotan Kandi , Dhargloon Middle and reviewed the implementation of Back to Village pro- gramme and interacted with the visiting officers and peo- ple of panchayats. Meanwhile, Additional Secretary Science and Technology Department, Shafiq Ahmed on his second day in panchayat Harni con- ducted Gram Sabha and interacted with the people. He reviewed various schemes of different departments. RAJOURI: As part of var- ious activities conducted on day 6 of Back to Village pro- gramme, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad inaugurated a mega wrestling event at Kotranka organised by the district Administration in association with Kotranka people. Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka, Ved Parkash, Assistant Commissioner Development, Akhtar Qazi, District Panchayat Officer,Abdul Khabir, Assistant Director Employment and Counseling,Anil Kumar, Block Development Officer kotranka and other officers were present. DODA: The ambitious "Back to Village" programme continued today on Day 6 with multifarious activities carried out in another 59 panchayats of the District. Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Shahid Anayatullah during his visit to Chinote Panchayat at Bhaderwah interacted with the PRIs, frontline government func- tionaries and the people and assessed the implementation of Back to Village initiative. District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode visited Hambal pan- chayats of block Khaleni where he inaugurated newly constructed Community hall. He also inaugurated foot bridge and Block office Goa panchayat of block Marmat besides executing work in panchayat Drudu of Block Bhaderwah under Shram Dhan. Meanwhile, ADDC Doda and ADC also visited various panchayats of Dali Udhyanpur, Bhagwah, Gundna, Bhaderwah and Thathri blocks and assessed the implementation of the programme. Director Social Welfare Dr Bharat Bhushan who visited Nalthi panchayat of Bhaderwah Block Dr Bharat Bhushan also distributed wheel chairs and hearing aids among the selected benefici- aries, Dr Nirupa Rai mem- ber SSB visited Bhaderwah, Jahangir Hashmi additional CEO, ERA visited village Ghat,Rohit Sharma Deputy Secretary Health and Medical Education visited Panchayat Malwas of Bhagwah Block, Narayan Dutt, Deputy Director Rural Sanitation visited Dessa Bhagwah. RAMBAN: On day two of third phase of 'Back to Village' initiative, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat visited various panchyats of Ramsoo and Ukhral blocks of the dis- trict and assessed the imple- mentation of the initiative. Assistant Commissioner Development Ramban Zaffar Ahmed Banday, SDM Ramsoo Dilmir Choudhary, XEN PDD, XEN PHE, CEO, CHO, Tehsildar Ukhral, BDOs and other officer and officials were present on the occasion. During the public outreach programme at Senabathi, Ukhral, Paristan Makarkot, Ramsoo, Hewagon, NeelBatoo, Sujmatana, Kote, Changloo, Bohardar, Gugwani, Kanhal and Inyar people apprised the DC of their demands and problems including restoration and upgradation of Water and power supply schemes, sanc- tion new water supply schemes, shortage of medical staff in health centres, irregu- larity in old age pensions, blacktopping of roads, sanc- tion of more PMAY houses, inclusion of left out families in Ayushman Bharat, and PM- Kissan Yojana etc. DC redressed most of high- lighted issues on the spot and directed the officers to look into other projected issues for timely redressal. He asked the Tehsildars to ensure pres- ence of Patwaris in their respective halqas for public convenience. KISHTWAR: Back to Village" programme in all 136 panchayats of District Kishtwar culminated with extensive interactions, multi- farious activities, cleanliness and plantation drives, inau- gurations, Gram Sabhas, public feedback and sugges- tion besides inspections of schools, AW centers, health- care centers and other gov- ernment institutions. District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, visited Panchyat Affani, Kundal and Atholi of Block Paddar and interacted with the PRIs, villagers and visiting officers to assess the activities carried out under the ambitious programme. Back to Village programme continues Commissioner Secretary Information and Public Relations, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi being honoured during the programme. Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal during visit to Panchayat Upper Meer Block Pancheri. STATE TIMES NEWS SARTHAL: Confident about ability of the cadre, the JKPCC Vice President, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that a duty has cast upon each worker, even in the remotest corner of the state, to gear up for any political eventuality. Addressing a meeting at Sarthal area, Saroori said time has come when the cadre should appreciate their designated role and reach out to the people by enhancing mass contact out- reach, identify their prob- lems and seek their resolu- tion at appropriate levels. Urged the party cadre to launch a vast contact pro- gramme and reach out to the masses, Saroori on Tuesday said political work- er must always remain pre- pared for electoral battle, more so, when the political system in the state is unsta- ble.
