RECALL NOTICE: The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless
of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the
heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam
and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units.
This defect has been identified as "Sub sequential Internal Non-morality," more
commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.
Some of the symptoms include:
1. Loss of direction
2. Foul vocal emissions
3. Amnesia of origin
4. Lack of peace and joy
5. Selfish or violent behavior
The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing
factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect.
The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden
of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required. The number
to call for repair in all areas is:
P-R-A-Y-E-R.
Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE
procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into
the heart component.
No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (BEST Instructions Before Leaving
Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes.
WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids
any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous
to list, and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free
emergency service, call on Jesus.
DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be
scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as
to prevent contamination of that facility. Thank you for your attention!
GOD
P.S. - Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice,
and you may contact the Father any time by 'Knee mail'!
Because HE Lives!

Oasis Kick-Off Our 12
th year of Oasis will “kick-off” on Wednesday,
September 18, 2013 in the parking lot of the
church with our annual outdoor carnival.
Everyone is welcome to come and be part of
the excitement! Sign-up on the sheet
posted on the bulletin board to
volunteer.
Participate in …Oasis Year 12!
This year we plan to study “The Story” and learn how
God’s Story is My Story. We have wonderful resources
from preschool through adult. We will be doing the
adult study using video that we used in Sunday School
two years ago. We have purchased copies of “The
Story” for adults so anyone who participates and wants a
copy can have one. Please consider joining this evening
Bible Study on Wednesday nights. We would love you
to come for dinner, stay for the one hour study and
participate in the evening closing with the children.
There are so many ways you can be a part
of this ministry: Some are weekly, others
periodically, and still others completely
behind the scenes (like donating and
praying!). We will have sign-up sheets
posted soon for you to indicate your
interests. Please prayerfully consider how
you can be involved. If you’ve never come
to see what your church is doing on
Wednesday evenings… come and see!
Jesus is calling…
There are so many ways you can be a part of this
ministry:
1 more Greeter to be there 5:40 – 6:10 to greet children
as they arrive. Mark Good is taking charge of this, but
would appreciate help!
1-2 people to supervise dismissal at 8:00 p.m. – perfect
for someone planning to participate in the adult Bible
Study.
1-2 people to supervise activities before dinner This
would require coming at 5:45 when we open the doors
and supervising games and activities children can do
before dinner at 6.
Cooks and Kitchen helpers – this can be weekly or just
once in awhile. Sign up to prepare one or more meals.
See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
Leader for 4-6th grade boys group
This is a weekly commitment and you will have an
assistant leader. “The Story” resources make planning
easy!
Group Helpers – Several groups need someone to assist
the leader: Young children grades K-1, (mixed boys and
girls), Young children grades 2-3 (mixed boys/girls),
Mid-age girls (4-6),
Table buddies – Be a “buddy” along with other adults to
an entire table of children. You can pick which group
you would like to be a buddy for.
If you are interested in any of the above, speak to Barb
Mayfield, or send her an e-mail:

I'm continuing the withdrawal
of books from the library, still
asking if there are any that you
would want for your collections
that were gifts, etc. These books
will be donated to Carroll Manor
and St. Elizabeth Healthcare, if
accepted. Otherwise, they will be donated to the
Flora Library for their collection or for their annual
book sale. There will be a display of books for
reading during the Autumn time and I hope the
Oasis folks take note!

*September 15 – Birthday celebration after worship
for July, August, September birthdays
*September 29 – Wedding shower for
Jeremy Gilman and Melanie Cox after church.
Join us for a carry-in lunch and a time to
celebrate the upcoming marriage of Jeremy and
Melanie.
Junior Viney will
be celebrating his
birthday on
September 12. It
has been
suggested that we shower him with
individual cards. Send them to him in
care of Joy Seybold, 9449 E 96th
St.,
Indianapolis, IN 46295.
We extend special thanks to
Virginia Smith and Janis Burns
for all the work they did to make the quilt
with embroidered parishioner names as a
gift from the church to Pastor Chuck and
Myra upon his retirement. Due to
Virginia’s illness, the partially completed
quilt was displayed at the July 28th
worship
service and has now been finished and
presented to the Compton’s.
