The Chronicle Fall Career Fair Guide MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2014 , 2013 | 7
Throughout a career fair, you will discover careers that you did not know existed, hear professionals talk about work that excites them and attempt to persuade others that you are the best candidate for a specific job or internship. One thing will be consistent: those of you who are most successful bring a sense of purpose and confidence to your conversations with employers at the fair.
Use these steps to identify your purpose for attending. Once you establish a few goals, confidence will follow!
THINK. 1. How will you know that attending the
career fair was a good use of your time?
2. What are you hoping to learn at the career fair that would be hard to find out using other methods?
3. How would you like to be remembered by those you meet?
