Welcome!My name is Ms. Blanchard.Who is Ms. Blanchard?How did I get here?I was born May 25, in Brooklyn, and I lived in Woodhaven, Queens.When I was four years old my family moved to Staten Island.I attended grammar school and high school on Staten Island, and I played basketball for the schools I attended.In high school I was also involved in the schools plays, as a member of stage crew.I studied American Studies at Siena College in Loudonville, NY.I earned an MS in Education from Wagner College.In 2003, I had my daughter, Lauren.I am entering my 16th year of teaching.

Getting StartedDue Wednesday, September 16 -Bring in all supplies.Return completed Parent/Guardian Survey.Please complete the student survey. You have 5 minutes.How does our class run?Enter and begin the Getting Started.Ms. Blanchard will present a short mini-lesson.Students will work.Students will share what they have done.Ms. Blanchard will give a quick follow up to the lesson.Students will complete an exit ticket.Pack up and dismiss.Students will understand the culture and routines of our Social Studies class.What are the class rules?When Ms. Blanchard talks, no one else talks.Students only leave their seat with permission.Be a leader!

What are the consequences if I dont follow the rules?Ms. Blanchard will give a verbal reminder of the rules.Ms. Blanchard will reach out to a parent.Ms. Blanchard will follow up with the dean.
