Recessional
Kierra Nicole “NeNe” Thomas was given her angel
wings on April 4, 2019 at Duke University. A native of Spar-
tanburg, SC, she is the daughter of Tiffany Yvette Thomas
and Nicholas Mings.
Kierra attended Dorman High School and worked at Jason’s
Deli. She was a member of Golden Street Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Doris
Thomas and David Boyd; and paternal grandparents, Nicky
and Ann Hoey.
Now, NeNe has taken her rest and leaves to cherish fond
memories, her parents; her brother, Zachorrian Griffin and
sister, Crystal Simpson, both of Spartanburg; six aunts, San-
dra (Alfred) Bennett, Sonya Hoey, Nicole Sullivan and Pre-
cious Martin, all of Spartanburg, Terri Salrim of North Car-
olina and Calea Harris of Rock Hill, SC; two uncles, Scottie
Brown of Spartanburg and Christopher Burnett of North
Carolina; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
