Now, Therefore, the Government hereby notifies, under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act 1 of 1894) (herelnaJ'ter· referred to as the "said Act") that the said land is likely to' be needed for the purpOse specified above.

2. All persons interested in the _said land are hereby warned not to obstruct or interfere with any surveyor or other p~r­sons employed upon the said land for the purpose of the said acquisition. Any contract for: the disposal of the sai~ iand by sale, lease. mortgage,- assignment, exchange _ or otherwise, or any outlay commenced or improvements- made thereon without the s,anction -of the Collector apPointed Under paragraph 4 below, after the- date -of the publication of this Notification, will, under clause (seventh) of section 24 of the said Act, be disregardecl by him while assessing compensation for- such parts of the said land a-s may be finany acquired.

3. If the Government is ,satisfied that the sai.d land is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a declaration to that ~ffect under section 6 of the said Act will be publ!shed in the Official Gazette and in" two daily newspapers and public notice thereof shall l?e given in due- cOlm!e. If the_ acquisition is abandoned wholly or in part, the fact will also be notified in 'the sa.m.e manner.

4. The Government further appoints, under clause .( c) of section 3 of the Said Act, the Deputy Collector South Sub­-Division Margao to perfonn the functions of a Collector under the, sa~d Act in respect of the said land.

. 'Now. th~~fore, the ~over~m~nt _:,li~reby notifies l?-~d~r sub-section (1) of section 4 of the sald Act that the saId· la~d is likely to be needed for the purpose specified above.

The GOvernment further directs under _ sub--sectj,on' (4) of section 17 of- the said Act that' the proVisions of section 5A of the said A.ct shall not apply in respect of the.' said land.

2 .. All persons interested in the said land are her~by warned not to obstruct or interfere with any surveyor 'Or other persons enployed -upon' the said land: for th~ purpose of the said acquisition. Any contract for the disposal of the said l~md by sale, 'lease, mortgage, "assignment, exchange. QI: oth,erwise or any outlay commenced tlr improye~ents ITlad~ thereon without the sanction of the Collector appomted under paragraph 4 below, after th~ date of the publication of' this Notification, will under clause (seve,nth) of section 2_4 of _the said Act, be 'disregarded- by him- while- assessing .com. pensation for -such parts Qf the -said land a~ may be fInally ~~quired.

3. If the 'Government is, satisfied· that the_ said land is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a decl~ation to that effect under section 6 of the said Act will" ,be published ,in the Official Gazette and in two daily newspapers and p,?blic notice thereof shall _be given in due course. If the acquisltion fS'-, aJiandoned wholly or in, part, the fact will .~so be notif~ed in the same -ma~er.

4. The Government further· appoints under clause (c) 'Of s_ection 3 of the said Act, $pecial La,nd 'Acquisition Officer, A. I. P. Duler Mapusa to perform the functions of a Colleptor lln<!~r., ,:the said Act in respect of the Said. land. .
