Words from SERV’s Founder and President...Steve Kasha, Founder

Is 2011 really over already? Wow, time flies when you are having fun.

This year has been packed with a tremendous amount of hard work and even more blessings. From all of the progress we have made in Kenya, to continued success in Mexico, to launching The SERV Store, to every generous supporter that has partnered with us. And on

a personal note, the opportunity I had to take my entire family to Kenya for the first time to see and work hands-on with our ministry there.

It takes the efforts of every person that touches our min-istry and favor from God to carry out all the work that we do. SERV is merely the tool that God has chosen to use and in spite of who we are, God continues to use us to further His kingdom. Thank you for a wonderful year and I look forward to working together in 2012!

Joe Garcia, President

It has been an honor and a blast to lead SERV Minis-tries International this year! I am overwhelmed by the support and generosity of everyone that believes in the work of SERV as well as the favor that God has shown us.

I say it often but the op-portunity to wake up ev-ery day and work to af-fect life change around the world has to be one of the greatest jobs on planet earth.

Thank you again for such a great year and

we look forward to an amazing 2012!

Thank you to our Board of Directors for a great year!

SERV Ministries International works to affect life change in orphan and impoverished children around the world and to reach people for Jesus Christ. Our current global presence consists of two countries: Kenya and Mexico.

Our hubs for ministry in these countries are House of Hope in Lodwar, Kenya and Pan de Vida in Santa Rosa, Mexico. Our ministry in Kenya is run by a staff of eleven along with two strategic partnerships in the cities of Nairobi and Kisu-mu. Our ministry in Mexico is run by two staff members along with over a dozen committed volunteers.

“I have never been so profoundly moved to action than I was, and still am, as a result of the Kenya mission trip through SERV. As a result of the trip, God has called me to get involved in the lives of His own in Kenya on a personal and intimate level.”

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the 30 children that call House of Hope their home.

This year has been an unbelievable year of progress for us and we are so fortunate to have accomplished so much.

Life at House of Hope continues to get better and better and the chil-dren are all flourishing. Because of your generosity, all of the children are receiving a quality education, daily meals, clothes and school uni-forms, proper medical care, spiritual education and development and personal love and care by a dedicated staff of eleven.

This year we saw our sponsorship rate for our children increase to 94%. This is so critical as it provides the needed funds to care for the children we have and also allows us to consider adding more in the near future. We saw the infrastructure of House of Hope improved dramatically with the addition of a deep-water well, the installation of a new security fence around the perimeter, the purchase of a vehicle and motorcycle for transportation, the energizing of electricity for the first time in House of Hope history and the purchase of a greenhouse kit that will help launch a new agriculture program in 2012.

Despite the prolific violence dominating the news in Mexico, ministry south of the border continues to grow.

This year with your help we have been able to provide food care packages to dozens of families in need around the community of Santa Rosa and engaged them in the work and mission of Pan de Vida. We enrolled dozens of at-risk youth and teens in our MVP (music, morals, values & principles) program.

We held weekly worship experiences attended by over 150+ in-dividuals and families where over (20) new un-churched people came into relationship with Jesus Christ.

We appointed a new leadership team of (3) members to lead Pan de Vida and our three main areas of ministry, OUTREACH, MVP, WORSHIP EXPERIENCE.

Thank you very much for your continued support. This marks our eleventh year of ministry in Mexico

Our Local PresenceThis year we opened a 4,000 square foot discount retail store adjacent to our offices filled with closeout and liq-uidation merchandise. Opened in late February of this year, the store has been received incredibly by the local community of Canton and we have served well over 1000 customers in just 10 short months of business.

The store contains furniture, apparel, small appliances, electronics and much more. The inventory is constantly changing but the deals are amazing.

In 2011, The SERV Store donated over $30,000 to SERV Ministries International to affect life change around the world. In addition, we have seen first hand, dozens of stories of God working through The SERV Store to minis-ter to people in need.

We invite you to come and visit the store and see how shopping with a purpose works.
