Roscom’s 80,000 square foot, high-tech ISO9001

certified manufacturing plant is built with state-

of-the-art compounding equipment, with superior

R&D laboratories, and utilizes automated

computerized equipment for our manufacturing

purposes. Throughout the past decade we have

modernized our facility and enhanced our overall

positioning in the plastics industry by investing in

technological advancements and now delivering

PVC compounds that comply with UL, NSF, and

FDA regulations. Consistency is computer

controlled and carefully monitored so that every

compound meets or exceeds the specifications and

tolerance requirements per our customer’s

request. Multiple quality checks are conducted

during every run to ensure we are delivery high

quality compounds throughout North America.

Our current line of Flexible PVC compounds ranges in

specific gravity from a 1.15 to a 1.70 with the ability to have

the durometer range from a 35 on the Short A scale up to a

semi rigid. Our expertise in flexible vinyl enables Roscom to

be the industry leader in custom formulations for all end

applications within various markets. Roscom also offers

PVC/Nitrile rubber blends to enhance certain physical

properties.

Roscom’s indoor and outdoor grade Rigid PVC has superior

weather ability characteristics to ensure the proper

requirements are met based on the intended application. Since

Roscom is a custom compounder, we have the ability to

custom formulate rigid compounds that contain specific

additives such as, UV stabilizer and fungicide packages, as

well as many other additives so that color doesn’t fade, and the

material keeps its overall chemical and physical properties

overtime.

NanoMaxx™ Product Line

Roscoms latest advancement in the PVC industry

is our innovative NanoMaxx™ product line. This

newly engineered pellet design, provides cost

savings opportunity for manufacturers mainly

due to the accelerated fusion process of the pellet.

Extrusion companies are experiencing an

increased production rate of up to 50% when

running certain extrusion applications that range

from wire & cable, tubing, and small extrusion

profiles. Along with the increased production

rate, energy costs are reduced due to the amount

of AMP pressure needed to run NanoMaxx™. is

drastically less than the standard pellet design

currently being supplied to the plastics industry.

Our NanoMaxx™ product line is also a great

source for color concentrate suppliers as it is

replacing dry blend usage.

Roscoms BevFlex™ product line encompasses a

range of NSF/ANSI 51 and NSF/ANSI 61 approved

clear compounds which is available from a 55 to

95 durometer Shore A. This product line is a great

source for application such as, but not limited too;

beverage tubing, refrigerator gaskets and seals, air

and water lines, potable water transfer lines,

fitting, valves, plus many more. The BevFlex™ line

is made using Phthalate Free raw materials and is

crystal clear allowing for visual confirmation of

product flow.

BevFlex™ Clear PVC Is As Clear As Day

Roscom offers a wide range of UL approved

compounds for the wire and cable market including

HB, V-O, THHN, Plenum, plus more! These

polymeric materials are suitable for various

applications including; automotive, jacketing,

electrical conduit, flexible cords, lighting products,

Wire & Cable Compounds Available

Roscom has recently isolated a production line which will run

strictly Eco-Friendly, or non-phthalate products. In order for

PVC to run on this line, all raw materials utilized in that formula

must be pre-certified as REACH, RoHS, and California

Proposition65 compliant, and is tested for phthalate levels prior

to use. This production line is installed with dedicated raw

material connections to avoid any possible cross contamination.

We’ve replaced the piping for the bulk unloading system,

storage tanks, feed lines & filters with new equipment to be

100% sure that there is no residual material present as a possible

source for contamination.

The European Chemicals Agency, ECHA, has banned the use of

manufacturing products containing ortho-phthalates & that are

listed under REACH. Registration Evaluation Authorization &

the restriction of CHemical substances were sanctioned in order

to protect human health and the environment from the risks of

harmful chemicals. REACH currently has 205 chemicals

identified as SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern), while

California’s Prop65 contains a list of over 800 naturally

occurring & synthetic chemicals that they have deemed

hazardous.

Non-Phthalate Compounds

While non-phthalate alternatives have been available for years,

they have been significantly more expensive than other

plasticizers. Due to increasing demand, suppliers have

developed technologies and systems that allow cost efficient

production of non-phthalate raw materials. Trends in

environmental regulations suggest that plasticizers such as

DEHP, DOP, DINP and DIDP will be banned by many states

and the manufacturing of these hazardous products will be

regulated.

Toll Compounding Services

Roscom specializes in toll compounding a variety of

plastics, ranging from Specialty Rigids to Low

Durometer Flexible PVC, and CPVC. With the use of our

state-of-the-art scaling system, we have the ability to

weigh raw materials when they are received, as

production creates masterbatches, as well as on line

adjustments if needed during the production run. As a

full service contract manufacturer, Roscom has the

ability to take companies formulations, along with our

material development expertise and capabilities, to

provide a proprietary finished custom product. Under a

contract manufacturing agreement, Roscom will offer

raw material procurement, product manufacturing, full

testing and QC checks, custom packaging if required, and

logistics when needed. We also have the ability to

provide customers with custom bar coding, and private

labeling when needed.

Acting as an extension of your production facility, we have the ability to

receive your already owned raw materials, establish your companies

required production specifications, and provide custom packaging to

provide a finished product with the same performance as well as quality

characteristics one would expect from an in-house production facility. If

there is a high volume demand being requested by our customer, we can

offer silos for storing resins, filler, or other additives at an additional cost.

Stocking Program

If additional storage space is needed in your

facility, allow Roscom to store your

inventory in our warehouse and take

advantage of our Inventory Stocking

Program. This value-added service is a

great, yet effective, program to eliminate

storage issues that occur in facilities. Being

part of our inventory stocking program,

both Roscom and the client will establish a

Min and Max level of inventory to

ultimately hold a 30-day supply so that the

material is readily available for set release

Inventory Stocking Program


Quality Control

Quality is one of our main focuses at Roscom which is why

we take quality checks to the next level. Since we are an

ISO 9001 certified facility, Roscom tests all raw materials

when they are received to ensure we are processing quality

products, as well as conducting various QC checks during

each run to guarantee consistency from batch to batch. Our

highly trained engineering department will extrude tapes on

the material as it is running on the production floor to verify

the material is in spec. Our research and development

laboratory contains state of the art equipment so we have the

ability to test everything from tensile strength, melt flows,

color matches, plasticizer analysis, plus many more! Small

test runs are conducted on our MD30 extruder for trials when

needed.

Since Roscom is a custom PVC compounder

we receive many opportunities for

manufacturing a variety of PVC that is used

for a multitude of end applications. We have

the capability to engineer new formulations

including bio-based regulated plastics in our

R&D laboratory. Overall, this state-of-the-art

equipment is used to provide chemical

analysis, physical property testing, and

reverse engineering services to our clients

exclusively.


R&D Capabilities

Roscom customers have the ability to utilize our extensive

analytical R&D laboratory in order to conduct a multitude

of physical and chemical property testing.

PHYSICAL PROPERTY TESTING

Evaluating the physical properties of PVC

compounds will help determine how well the final part

will perform based on its intended application. Operating

our Tensile, HDT, and IZOD equipment allows us to

identify the polymers physical properties which then

provides our R&D technicians to develop new formulas that

meet specific ASTM standards and overall provides

excellent running performance conditions

CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

Chemical testing of polymeric material is crucial

in identifying the chemical makeup and structure

of the plastic such as molecular weight

distribution, additives within the compound, and

stability performances. Performing tests on the

Limiting Oxygen Index, Capillary Rheometer,

Torque Rheometer, QUV, Volume Resistivity,

Low Temperature Brittleness Tester, and

Differential Scanning Calorimeter equipment

provides Roscom the ability to breakdown

chemical components within a formula.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

Utilizing instruments such as: Gel Permeation Chromatography, Thermogravimetric Analysis, FT-IR, X-ray, and Gas

Chromatography allows Roscom to evaluate raw materials within compounds so that ingredients can be identified and

recommendations can be provided.
