Title: “Adhesives, Composites, Cements and More: Eliminating Sensitivity with Predictable Procedures”

Clinician: George Freedman, D.D.S.

Synopsis:Dental bonding is simplified by seventh generation adhesive materials. Innovative re-storative materials such as reinforced glass ionomers, giomers and dentin replacements are changing the scope of dental restorations and making conservative esthetic proce-dures very predictable. Etch, bond and desensitize in a single step! Dental sensitivity can be totally eliminated and prevented with recently available materials and techniques! Effective caries diagnosis is improved by wireless digital x-ray sensors and surface map-ping technology. The Comfortable Cavity Prep kit includes tooth-friendly, minimally invasive Fissurotomy and Smart Burs II task specific rotary instruments that optimize an anesthetic-free, patient- friendly and practice building approach to caries manage-ment and restoration. Novel matrix systems provide perfect interproximal contacts and contours every time.

Non-surgical, non-antibiotic therapies for the general practitioner are offering excel-lent options for healing periodontal disease and maintaining the tissue at its optimal health. Indirect procedures are simplified by newer, easier to use, impression materials as well as one-step resin cements. Innovative carbide crown and bridge preparation (GW Ultra) is faster with constant torque high speed electric handpieces. In-office di-agnosis and alleviation of occlusal problems is simple, efficient and makes the patient aware of their appliance needs. Affordable soft-tissue lasers are a must in every opera-tory. Upon successful completion of the lecture, attendees will be familiar with the lat-est developments in dental materials, techniques and equipment.
