8 October 2019 Dear Parent/Carer Thank you again to those parents and carers who attended the Year 11 GCSE Success Evening back at the start of this term. As we discussed that evening, the first set of mock examinations will run between Monday 4 November and Friday 15 November and we have today distributed the timetable for the two weeks to all students. A copy is also enclosed with this letter. These are two critical weeks as it allows us to build an accurate picture of how each and every student is progressing in Year 11. We will be on hand to support all students across the two weeks, developing the routines needed for the summer. At home you can support by ensuring half term is an appropriate balance of both rest and revision. Our recommendation is that students have one week of complete rest and that the other ‘school’ week is spent revising, perhaps following the school day. A copy of the presentation from the GCSE Success Evening can be found here: https://www.ixworthschool.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Ye ar-11-GCSE-Success-Evening-190919.pptx; and further advice re. revision is available here: https://www.ixworthschool.org.uk/end-of-year-examinations-and- revision/. As always your support is much appreciated. Best wishes

Dear Parent/Carer

Thank you again to those parents and carers who attended the Year 11 GCSE Success Evening back at the start of this term.

A copy of the presentation from the GCSE Success Evening can be found here: https://www.ixworthschool.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Year-11-GCSE-Success-Evening-190919.pptx; and further advice re. revision is available here: https://www.ixworthschool.org.uk/end-of-year-examinations-and-revision/.

As always your support is much appreciated.

Best wishes
