Quilt Cutting Instructions Fabric A – Aqua Main Floral 9877-0120 ¼ yard

Cut two 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 3” x 8” strips.

Fabric B – Red Tossed Daisies 9879-0111 ¼ yard

Cut two 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 3” x 8” strips.

Fabric C – Aqua Packed Flowers 9880-0114 ¼ yard

Cut two 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 3” x 8” strips.

Fabric D – Yellow Main Floral 9877-0133 ¼ yard

Cut two 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 3” x 8” strips.

Fabric N – Green Bamboo 9802-0162 ¼ yard

Cut four 1” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into twenty-five 1” x 5” strips.

Cut one 1” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into eight 1” x 1 ½” strips.

Fabric O – Cream Fans (version #1) 9882-0142 3 ½ yards Fabric O – Marshmallow (version #2) 0733-marshmellow 3 ½ yards

Cut two 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into sixteen 1 ½” x 4” strips.

Cut seven 4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into fifty 4” x 5” strips.

Cut ten 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (128) 1 ½” x 3” strips.

Cut ten 3” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (128) 3” squares.

Cut two 8” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into six 8” x 8 ½” strips.

Cut sixteen 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew two strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut one 1 ½” x 68” strip. Repeat with the remaining strips to make eight 1 ½” x 68” strips total.

Cut four 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut two 1 ½” x 61” strips.

Fabric P – Green Fans 9882-0116 5/8 yard Cut seven 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

Backing – Cream Bamboo 9802-0140 4 yards Cut two 69” x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make one 69” x 78” back.

Block Assembly

Sew one 1 ½” x 4” Fabric O strip to each side of one 1” x 1 ½” Fabric N strip to make one Unit 1 strip (Fig. 1). Repeat to make eight Unit 1 strips total.

Sew one 4” x 5” Fabric O strip to each side of one 1” x 5” Fabric N strip to make one Unit 2 strip (Fig. 2). Repeat to make twenty-five Unit 2 strips total.

Sew one 1 ½” x 3” Fabric O strip to each side of one 1 ½” x 3” Fabric M strip to make one Unit 3 strip (Fig. 3). Repeat to make sixty-four Unit 3 strips total.

Place one 3” Fabric O square on the left side of one 3” x 8” Fabric A strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 4). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance (Fig. 5).

Place another 3” Fabric O square on the right side of the 3” x 8” Fabric A strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 6). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make one Unit 4 strip (Fig. 7). Repeat to make eight Unit 4 strips total.

Sew one Unit 4 strip to the top and to the bottom of one 3” x 8” Fabric J strip. Pay attention to the orientation of the Unit 4 strips. Sew one Unit 3 strip to the top and to the bottom of the sewn unit to make one Block One (Fig. 8). Repeat to make four Block One’s total.

Repeat Steps 4-6 using Figures 9-16 for fabric identification and placement to make four Block Two’s, four Block Three’s, four Block Four’s, four Block Five’s, three Block Six’s, three Block Seven’s, three Block Eight’s and three Block Nine’s.

Quilt Assembly (refer to the quilt layout on Page 5 while assembling the quilt top)

Refer to Figure 17 and sew together two Unit 1 strips, four Unit 2 strips, one Block One, one Block Two, one Block Three, one Block Four and one Block Five to make Column One.

Refer to Figure 18 and sew two 8” x 8 ½” Fab-ric O strips, three Unit 2 strips, one Block Six, one Block Seven, one Block Eight and one Block Nine to make Column Two.

Refer to Figure 19 and sew together two Unit 1 strips, four Unit 2 strips, one Block Five, one Block Three, one Block Four, Block Two and one Block One to make Column Three.

Refer to Figure 20 and sew two 8” x 8 ½” Fab-ric O strips, three Unit 2 strips, one Block Nine, one Block Eight, one Block Seven and one Block Six to make Column Four.

Refer to Figure 21 and sew together two Unit 1 strips, four Unit 2 strips, one Block One, one Block Two, one Block Three, one Block Four and one Block Five to make Column Five.

Refer to Figure 22 and sew two 8” x 8 ½” Fab-ric O strips, three Unit 2 strips, one Block Six, one Block Seven, one Block Eight and one Block Nine to make Column Six.

Refer to Figure 23 and sew together two Unit 1 strips, four Unit 2 strips, one Block Five, one Block Four, one Block Two, Block Three and one Block One to make Column Seven.

Sew together eight 1 ½” x 68” Fabric O strips and the seven columns, alternating them, to make the Center Block.

Sew one 1 ½” x 61” Fabric O strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

Layer and quilt as desired.

Sew the seven 2 ½” x WOF Fabric P strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.

Bind as desired.
