• Craig Tech Solutions is set up exclusively to service the Highways Infrastructure and Utilities sectors. We specialise in hard to fill vacancies, at all levels within your organisation.

As Director of Craig Tech Solutions Ltd, John Craig has been in the Civil Engineering recruitment sector for over 12 years, with extensive industry experience both in the UK and abroad.

In 2004, John joined a leading UK recruitment firm and established his first successful highways and utilities specific business unit.

John’s industry knowledge and continuous market research methods give him an excellent understanding of the highways and utilities sectors.

Candidate Generation

• Job Boards: The use of websites such as Career Structure, Total Jobs, Just Construction and Monster have changed the way in which both candidates search for vacancies and recruiters source applicants. The downside to these sites is that they offer very little confidentiality, which often prevents passive candidates from using them. Equally, a great deal of duplication takes place on job sites, as the candidate’s CV is visible to the entire recruitment market.

• CV Database: The consultancy’s CV database may contain unique

candidates. This depends greatly on how well maintained the database is and whether the consultancy specialises in specific fields.

• Passive & Referred Candidates: These are candidates that are generally happy in their current roles but are willing to discuss opportunities. The majority of these candidates tend to build relationships with only a few recruiters. Passive candidates will rarely appear on job sites and will often only consider an opportunity if it fits with their career ambitions.
