First order of business is chapter polo’s. I plan on placing the order this month and so far I have Steve F, ChuFred H, Chuck, Tom Brady and Andy Anderson who requested different colors or long sleeve shirts. If youwant something different than the green chapter shirt give me a call ASAP.

Next, one of our members volunteered to pay for the February meal. He wanted to remain anonymous butwanted the donation to be in the honor of “B110 US Special Forces Viet Nam (USSFVN). Thanks brother anyour secret is safe with me.

On the proposed move from VFW 812 to the 82nd it’s open to us if we want; thanks Chris. The reason for eveconsidering a move is the current political climate at the VFW. We have not been asked to leave but there havbeen rumors that anyone wanting to use the large hall will have to rent it. As you know, some of our functionare too big for the meeting room and paying for the venue is not an issue per-se but to me it’s the principal. Whave donated our time, energy and funds to Post 812 and to be asked to pay for the hall is a slap in the face. There have been some other issues with the VFW officers but I’ll discuss those in person if you’re interested. There has been a recent development at the post and our very own Moose has agreed to run for another term aPost Commander. As you know SFA Chapter 9 enjoyed six years of carte blanche at the post under Moose’sleadership and I hope he wins. With that said I strongly request that any SFA members who are members of VFW Post 812 attend the meeting on April 7th and vote.

Chaplain’s Corner: Open the Door and Let Jesus in.Jesus made it clear to His disciples that He is "the way, the truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). He is the only wto the Father, and our belief and commitment to Him results in love and obedience--and leads to an eternalhome in heaven. This truth is evident in Christina, a Bible student in Minsk, Belarus, who wrote this testimo"Jesus died for everyone, even the most desperate sinner. The worst criminal who comes to Him in faith, theLord will accept. "For a very long time, Jesus had been knocking at my door. Figuratively speaking, the dooto my heart was open. I was a believer. But I kept the safety chain on my door in place. I would not turn mylife over to Him. Cristina knew this was not right, and she felt that God was calling her to make a change. "I

knelt before Him and opened the door as wide as I could." She took off the chain and let Jesus enter as herpersonal Savior and Lord. If, like Christiana, you've been holding back from surrendering to God, Its time to unhook that safety chain. go of those reservations. Throw open the doors of your life and experience the joy of obedient discipleship. The poet Winder wrote "Less of self and more of Jesus, more and more each day like Thee: Just to live in fusurrender for my Lord who ransomed me." If you have been holding back from God, try letting Him in. Godwill not let you down...This was adapted from Our Daily Bread, January 13th reading . . .
