U Trough and wear-plate Screw conveyors for the above-mentioned materials are of the type U-tough and shaftless screw spiral. Several conveyor sections can be connected in series, up to a total transport length of 80m. For vertical transport applications we supply screw conveyors with a tube casing.
U-trough The U-troughs are fitted with covers that can easily be opened for inspection and cleaning. Internally, the U-trough has replaceable wearplates. As standard, U-troughs and covers are made from stainless steel totally enclosed transporting for
containment of dust and smells. Wear-plate
A wear-plate lining in the U-trough provides for smooth and quiet conveyor operation. Standard material for the wear-plate is a high molecular plastic. For very abrasive applications ultra-high molecular plastics or abrasion and wear resistant steels are available.
Screw Conveyors for Waste Materials Shaftless screw conveyors are excellent for transport of tough materials, such as fibrous matter, various types of wast materials, long-cut chips, slaughterhouse refuse, etc. In conveyors with shaftless screw spirals, the conveyed material coannot get entangled around any shaft! Our Shaftless screw conveyors are made in several standard dimensions to suit different aplications. The table below shows our standard range of screw conveyors for transport of sludge and various types of waste materials.

Drive Units and Accessories
Our screw conveyors are normally direct-driven, such that the spiral is directly connected to a hollow shaft in the motor-gearbox unit. We can also offer conveyors with chain transmissions or hydraulic drive units, where required. Each conveyor installation is unique, but we can offer a wide range of suitable accessories. For example, we have pneumatic- or motor-operated dampers, heating devices, suspensions, foot mounts, stands, speed regulators and overload protection.
