Large Vehicles

• 60% of all fatal accidents are between cars and large vehicles and the cause of them is most of the time from the car not the large vehicle

• The one that dies most of the time is the one in the car because it is not as big and heavy duty as the large vehicle 4 out of 5 times

• Most of these accidents can be avoided if all the vehicles and drivers knew the limitations and rules for driving near buses, trucks, large vehicles

• Trucks have larger blind stop than cars- you should stay at least 20 feet away from them

• When passing you MUST take extra caution

Mopeds

• There are three classifications of mopeds Class A, Class B and, Class C

• These classifications all depend on the speed they can go, type of license you need to operate them legally, Registration required, Headlight to be on when operating ,Helmet & eye protection required when operating, Mandatory insurance required ,Annual inspection required

Horse Drawn Wagons• You must use extra caution when driving near them• The wagons must be driving single file on the side of the road near the curb or

near the edge of the road• It is illegal to beep your horn when near a horse drawn wagon• You can not pass horse drawn wagons• You must be driving at a reasonable speed and stay your distance

NEW GRADUATED DRIVER LICENSE LAWS

• Must have your learners permit for 6 months before you can take your road test

• 50 hours (15 hours at night)• 1 non family member under 21 allowed in the car
