Everybody in the audience was jubilant, rejoicing, shout-ing, clapping, stomping their feet---it was a day of praising andhonoring God as Teacher Guia received 2 awards during the 20thanniversary celebration of the Institute for Foundational Learning(IFL) held at Christ Commission Fellowship on October 28,2009. Two of the strongest typhoons that hit our country overthe last 5 years brought massive destruction to many lives, proper-ties and infrastructures. Over 5 million people were affected and

about a thousand lives were killed by the rushing floodwaters ashigh as 15 feet. Some members of our church were not sparedfrom the fury of the two typhoons. As a church, we were able tosolicit, repack and distribute a number of relief goods to deservingand needy victims of the calamity---not only to our fellow churchmembers but to nearby residents as well. We thank God that Heis our refuge in times of trouble.

A WORD FROMTHE SENIOR PASTORAs we celebrate Christmas again, let us be reminded that He is our IMMANUELwho is always with us at all

times. During the time that I was about to receive the award for our pre-school and for myself, I felt the embrace of God

whispering to me His very own words as written in the Bible, Well done, good and faithful servant---keep on doing whatyoure doing! What an assurance we can have that our labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)I want to take this opportunity to announce that my youngest daughter is tying the knot on January 2, 2010 to Fer-

dinand Serraon, son of Ate Mely Serraon. Both Genesis (my daughter) and Enan grew up together in the church. I considerthem as childhood friends. May they have a blissful married life.

Please pray for me as I trust God for new challenges in my life, even as I face the coming year. I am also equallygrateful to you, our donors and ministry partners, for your unwavering support to my family and ministry.

From the bottom of my heart, I greet you a very Merry Christmas and all the Blessings of the year 2010!
