JOB DESCRIPTION
Directly responsible to the Extrusion Manager. Must communicate well with the Press Supervisors, Schedulers, Department Managers and all other plant personnel. Functionally responsible with all members of the production crews concerning day-to-day plant matters. Rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
o Maintain a safe and organized work environment for the production areas o Manage the daily operation of presses for maximum output o Monitor production tables and work with all press supervisors, as necessary to keep presses
running during shift, including through breaks, by staggering break times and getting additional help if necessary
o Monitor and oversee work flow and training of production personnel o Review and analyze daily shift performance and data to increase productivity and quality o Change and implement new processes and procedures as necessary to move Almag forward and
position us for future growth

o Report daily production KPI’s to the Extrusion manager
o Communicate on a daily basis any current relevant information on delays in production (Manpower, mechanical or material)
o Be a strong team player and assist co-workers when needed o Ensure compliance with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements o Manage manpower/vacations o Responsible for performance reviews and for suggesting compensation for production teams o Perform other related duties as assigned
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience
o Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of production and supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
o Must have good team building and motivational skills. o Should have a good command in English, written and oral. o Ability to work well with numbers is essential. o Should have an understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry and the ability to
read blue prints. o A solid understanding of the following equipment/technology; computers, various PC Software,
squares, protractors, various production equipment, contour projector, calipers, feeler gauges, go/no-go gauges, Shoplogix.
o Experience with Epics considered an asset. Education
o High School and relevant production experience is desirable.
