EDITOR’S NOTE...

We have been truly blessed this year with several of

our clients placing their ads faithfully every month. I

want to thank all of our readers who support our local

businesses and I hope you tell them, “I saw your ad in

The Shopper’s REMEDY”. It let’s them know that their

hard earned ad dollars are working for them.

We have a very full issue this month. There is always

more that I want to do with each issue and hopefully in

the year ahead I will accomplish those goals and

ambitions. The days seem to go so fast that the 15th

seems to come quicker every month. I was thinking this

morning how busy I am but I am thankful to be busy

with family, work and life in generarl. Wouldn’t really

want it any other way but it is a constant challenge to

keep it all going and to get everything done in a timely

manner. With the holidays it gets even busier and as I

was looking at all the perfect pictures of families having

perfect decorations and gifts galore, I wonder how those

that accomplish such things ever do it. Those thoughts

brought to my memory of Whitey’s and mine first

Christmas as a couple. We didn’t have much money. In

fact I don’t even remember going Christmas shopping. I

do remember making my mother in law a heart shaped

drawing with flowers and a scripture verse written. I

framed it in a dollar frame and wrapped it. She kept that

on her wall by her bed for 40 years. It’s the only gift I

ever gave her that she kept. So, if funds are tight, or

maybe you’re tired of the commercialism of Christmas,

you might consider doing some simple heartfelt gifts.

You never know what is going to move someone. Or if

you’re super busy and your nose is always on the

computer or on your many electronic gizmos you might

consider to unplug and just be with your friends and

loved ones giving them your undivided attention. Just

something I was thinking about. I know I’m trying to

spend more time with my family and putting work aside.

This year God has been blessing me with a

manifestation of His presence and helping me to learn

more and more from reading His Holy Word out loud

everyday. It is so powerful and though I read through the

Psalms each month (you can do so by reading 5 chapters

a day) I always see or learn something more. I find that

Hebrews 4:12 is so true...

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and

sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the

division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and

is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

God is so concerned for each one of us to learn the

true meaning of life and to live in love, harmony, health,

peace and prosperity that He sent His ONLY son who

was part of Him to earth so that we could experience and

live in His pure and unconditional LOVE! My prayer for

each and everyone is that we would all come to know

Jesus Christ as our personal Lord & Savior for

eventually, “Every knee will bow and Every tongue

confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”
