• Saahst short courses are designed to equip the learner with the necessary skills to build their own business as well as expand their current expertise.• Qualified therapists as well as novices are welcome.• Dress code for the short courses is comfortable yet professional and practical.• The duration of the courses vary from one day to a week, with a theoretical and practical assessment according to the specific timetable.• Requirements are excluded from the prices stated below. Details available on request. Please note that in order to get maximum benefit from the short courses you should have your own requirements. These will be used to complete the required experiential hours and also equip you to start earning an income. ACRYLIC NAILS

Acrylics can be whole or partial, used over the entire nail or simply as tips. A mixture of liquid acrylic (monomer) and acrylic powder (polymer), is applied to the nail. The artificial nail is built and then buffed to a shiny, natural looking nail.

BIO SCULPTURE

Bio Sculpture is a self-leveling gel that can simply be painted on with no time-consuming build-up process. Bio Sculpture can be applied onto natural nails and over artificial tips, and can also be used to create nail sculptures.



MANICURE & PEDICURE

Course consists of necessary skills required for perfect grooming of the hands andfeet. These include aspects of filing, buffing, application of nail varnish and a massage.

TINTING AND SHAPING OF EYEBROWS

Eyelash and eyebrow tinting enhance the the look of the natural lashes. tinting the length of the lash or brow hairs makes it appear longer and bolder, yet natural. Shaping techniques taught include plucking and waxing.

INTRODUCTION TO FACIAL TREATMENTS

The completion of this course enables the candidate to provide treatments for the purpose of improving and enhancing the natural condition of the skin. This includes skin analysis, cleansing, massaging and applying specialized products to suit the needs of the client’s skin type.



WAXING

This course describes how to remove facial and body hair using temporary methods of hair removal. This includes the two methods of waxing: Hot wax and cold wax. Learner will be able to consult with client, prepare for treatment, plan thetreatment, remove unwanted hair and complete the treatment.

HOT STONE THERAPY

Specially selected heated stones are used to massage the body, providing a nurturing and enhanced therapeutic effect. Learner needs a background in Anatomy or basic massage techniques before enrolling.



AFRICAN RUNGU MASSAGE

The Rungu is a wooden throwing club used by the Massai African Tribe, carved out of natural Eucalyptus wood. It consists of a big head, shaft and a small head. The therapist uses this club to perform a deeply relaxing but stimulating full body massage.

EAR CANDLING TREATMENT

Ancient healing technique that is helpful for a variety of ailments for e.g. sinusitis, tinnitus and mild ear infections. Ear candling is non-toxic, non-invasive and safe. It is suitable for all ages. Special candle that is about 22cm long is inserted into the ear and burns while the head is massaged with small petrissage movements. Burning time is between 10 – 12 minutes depending on the condition of the ears.



CALABASH MASSAGE

Full body massage utilizing different types of calabashes to provide an interestingand relaxing experience.



BAMBOO MASSAGE

During the bamboo massage, different bamboo stalks are used to induce wellbeing and relaxation whilst providing therapeutic benefits.

Sportswomen, older people and the ladies who want to look groomed, love the convenience of permanent make-up. Also known as semi-permanent makeup, pigment implantation or tattooing. A rotary and an embroidery machine is used to plant the coloured pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. Follow-up treatmentsare necessary to create the perfect look. Do you own a DSLR camera? Started using it and can’t achieve the desired photograph? This 4-hour workshop will enable you to use your camera to its full potential and increase your knowledge in photography to capture those moments and memories at its best. This course is neither brand, nor camera specific, and offers you the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with all your camera’s features and functions. The students will be taught theoretical and practical components of photography that will lay the foundation for further learning and to improve their skills as an enthusiast.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE

Get close and intimate with nature! Walk amongst lions and photograph from horseback. You will be guided in a step-by-step wildlife photography course and reside on a private game reserve at one of three locations. This course is suitable for couples or individuals. Private groups will be accompanied by trained staff and will focus on the understanding of photography, getting to know your SLR camera and pushing your available equipment to its limits while capturing those intimate personal moments and unforgettable shots while you are amongst the wildlife.
