C.3 KOI ENTRIES & OWNER’S TANKParticipant’s kois shall be entered in individual tank allocated during benching and judging. Kois from differentparticipants shall not be mixed by organising official or handlers, unless with the consent of the participants, and allrisks and expenses shall be for participants and their handlers. All kois above the 50bu categories will be judged intheir respective tanks allocated, while those below the 50bu size will be judged from the transparent bags provided bythe organiser.

C.4 CHARGES FOR KOI ENTRY & MAXIMUM NUMBER OF KOIS PER TANKThe charges of koi entries shall be based on the number of tanks required, or transparent bag allocated. Participantsand their handlers, are to follow the recommendation stocking density to avoid water fouling and issues related tooverstocking. Kois in excess of the recommended numbers in the judging tank, can be rejected or disqualified fromjudging, at the discretion of the show officials. There are 1,2m diameter tank and 1,8m diameter tank available. Pleaseadhere to the maximum number of Kois recommended per tank during the judging process as follow :KOI SIZES MAXIMUM NUMBER OF KOIS RECOMMENDED OR ALLOWED DURING BENCHING AND JUDGING>75CM 4 KOIS ONLY60CM - 75CM 5 KOIS ONLY50CM – 60CM 7 KOIS ONLY

All other kois below 50cm, will be benched and judged in the transparent bags allocated to the participants / handlers .*should participants or their handlers have kois of various sizes in each tank , handlers to use their discretion to determine thenumber of kois in the judging tank , with the approval from the benching official before judging.

Fill the number of kois you wish to enter and the number of tank you wish to use. Then click “Next” and you will have anothermenu for the details of the kois entered. Please fill the form as follow :

o Fill the Owner nameo Choose one of the countryo Choose one of the koi varietyo Fill the size of the koio Click the “Browse” button first to add the koi pictureo If the size of the koi more than 50cm, after you click the “Browse” button, there will be another menu pop up for

determining the sex of the koi because there are Male Champion category for this show. If you are uncertain withthe koi sex, then just choose “Female” and the koi will be entered on normal competition.

o Click “Save” to enter the koi to the showo You can check the kois you have been entered through “Fish Entry” option on the left wing. All saved data of the

kois entered trough respective username will be showed on the screen.

NOTES : Please don’t forget to attach koi picture for identification purpose along benching and judging. Koi without proper

photographs may not be allowed to participate in the competition . The size of each koi must be stated by the competitor and is deemed as self declaration by participant or the handler . If

sizing is found to be larger than declared , the koi will be disqualified and will not be eligible for any prize award. Participantsare urged to be accurate in their sizing during benching to avoid disqualification . The Show officials reserve the right tocheck and measure the size of participant’s koi during benching for judging . Participants or their handlers may provide theirown tub, failing which, the show’s official tub shall be used . Oversize Koi will be automatically be disqualified from judgingand benching official have rights to reject Kois that are not measured by participants or their handlers.

F. KOI PHOTOGRAPHS

a. All photographs submitted must be of blue background , clearly showing the Koi occupying two third of the photograph space.b. Latest submission of photos should not be later than closing of benching , to avoid delay during judging.c. All participants must comply with this requirement, as the same photograph will be used for all Prize Winning Certificates .

G. BENCHING

a. Benching for all kois will be opened from 0900 hrs 15th June 2012 and benching will close 0800 hrs 16th June 2012 . Entries afterthe benching time frame provided , will not be entertained . All Kois after benching , have to be placed into their allocatedtanks. On final completion of Benching , participants or their handlers may inspect their kois in their respective tanks to ensurethat their kois are placed in the respective tanks allocated . Should their be any queries or disputes in regards to theclassification and size category, please approach the ground staff or benching officials for immediate amendments if any.

b. The Show officials and Benching Staffs , reserve the right to remove any koi, which is found to be sick , with disease, deformedor deemed unsuitable for the show.

c. For Kois below the 50bu categories in transparent bags. Participants must use waterproof marker pen to mark the entrynumber , on the side of each transparent bag clearly , to identify participant koi’s size division and variety . The bagged koisshould be brought to the area designated for judging of the smaller kois prior closing of benching time frame , and layaccordingly to the variety and size division on the floor markings at the designated area . Any Kois , which are not placedproperly at the designated area , shall not be judged accordingly.

d. After judging , no koi is to be removed or placed back into tanks without the permission , inspection , verification or approval ofthe show officials.

H. TANK and WATER MANAGEMENT

a. The show Organiser will provide fresh spring mountain water to all tanks before benching. The water will be tested by anindependent Water Laboratory to ensure water qualities required for the show. Participants are to look after their own koisduring the benching period, in their respective tanks, including removal of any faeces or fish waste or dirtied water andprohibited from making contacts or mixing of other participant’s kois at the show ground. The Show Organiser, together withthe rest of the Show officials and helpers, shall not be held responsible for any losse , damages or death of Koi throughout thebenching and de-benching period .

b. All participants and their handlers, are required to make available all the necessary equipments, particularly benching/measuring tub and to be on hand, when required by Show Officials, including the Panel of Judges. All participants and theirhandlers must leave the Designated Judging Area, unless their presence is required by the Show officials. Participants and theirhandlers may use their own nets or nets provided by the Show Organiser for their own respective tanks only.

c. Participants are not allowed to remove any kois during Judging, unless the Koi is sick, and approved by the Show Officials forremoval from the Judging or Show ground .

d. Participants and their handlers must not tamper with the water provided in the show tank, unless with the approval of theshow officials and the water management team. Show Organiser and Officials will not be responsible for any water that’stampered with, prior benching, judging or during the Exhibition Day.

I. JUDGING PROCEDURES

a. Judges shall compromise mainly Japanese breeders (28 judges) and qualified judges from Singapore (2 judges) and Indonesia (2judges) as follow :

b. Semi step-up system judging procedure will be applied on this show. It applied from Mini Champion to Superior Championwhich chosen from Kokugyo Prize and Sakura Prize (Best In Size) on each group categories.

a. If one of Best In Size get one of major prize, then the 2nd of the Best In Size variety will compete with the otherbest in size contender and will be voted again to determine the Kokugyo and Sakura Prize.

b. While the Show Chairman and the Officials endeavour all fairness to all participants and their handlers, Judges decision is final,and the Show Organiser nor Officials will have not have any rights in over-riding the Judges’ decision on winners declared orvoted. Should their be any discrepancies, any participants may raise their objection through the Show Organiser before the endof Judging.

c. Any participants or Handlers who wish to change ownership of koi prior judging, has to be done during benching, and allannouncements and certificates for Koi ownerships will be as detailed during judging. Changing of ownership during and afterjudging will not be acknowledged once the winners are awarded .

d. The judging procedure will be as follow :1. GOSANKE GRAND CHAMPION

a. All judges will select some of Grand Champion contenders from 80bu & above 80bu Gosanke (Kohaku, TashioShansoku, Showa Shansoku, Shiro Utsuri)

b. The best of three shall be short listed.c. The Grand Champion will be one of the 3d. The Reserve Grand Champion will be voted from the two best left by all judges.e. The last of the best three will be JUMBO A CHAMPION

2. NON GOSANKE GRAND CHAMPIONa. All judges will select some of Grand Champion contender from 80bu & above 80bu Gosanke.b. The best of three shall be short listed.c. The Grand Champion will be one of with the highest vote.d. After GC B voted, all judges will be voted one of the two left (from the best three) to be JUMBO B CHAMPION.

3. JUMBO A & B CHAMPIONAs explained on point I.1.e above and point I.2.d above.

4. MALE CHAMPION A&BJudges will select Male Champion A&B from male kois of gosanke and non-gosanke varieties which has size 50cm above.

5. ALL CATEGORIES – KOI JUDGINGKois are selected for the top 3 placing for each variety under their respective size groupings. The selected Kois must betruly representative of the respective variety and should the Koi not meet the required standard, the judges may, at theirdiscretion, not award any prizes for that particular variety or size.

6. KOKUGYO PRIZE ( GOSANKE ) – FROM 20BU TO OVER 80BUThe Best In Size will be awarded to the best of the size categories compromising Kohaku, Sanke, Showa and Shiro.

7. SAKURA PRIZE ( NON GOSANKE ) – FROM 20BU TO OVER 80BUThe Best in Size for non-gosanke will be awarded to all size groupings.

8. SUPERIOR CHAMPION A&BSuperior Champion, will be selected from the 80bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke winners.

9. MATURE CHAMPION A&BJudges, will select one Koi from the Best in Size winners of the 65bu and 70bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke categories. Theteam judges will cast votes to elect the Mature Champion . Head Judge will cast the final vote should there be a tie in votecount.

10. ADULT CHAMPION A&BJudges will select one koi from the Best in Size winners of 55bu and 60bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke categories. Winnerwill be by ballot or votes casted by the respective team Judges , and in the event of a tie , the Head Judge shall cast thefinal vote to define the Adult Champion.

11. YOUNG CHAMPION A&BThe qualified Team Judges will elect one koi from the Best in Size winners of the 45bu and 50 bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke categories. Judging will be by ballot and not show of hands . The Head Judge, will have a final vote cast in theevent of a tie.

12. JUNIOR CHAMPION A&BThe qualified Team Judges will elect one koi from the Best in Size winners of the 35bu and 40 bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke categories. Judging will be by ballot. The Head Judge, will have a final vote cast in the event of a tie.

13. BABY CHAMPION A&BThe qualified Team of Judges will elect one koi from the best in size winners of the 25bu and 30bu Gosanke and Non-gosanke categories. Winner will again be by votes. The Head Judge will have the final vote cast in the event of a tie.

14. LITE CHAMPION A&BThe qualified Team of Judges will elect one koi from the best in size winners of the 20bu Gosanke and Non-gosankecategories. Winner will again be by votes. The Head Judge will have the final vote cast in the event of a tie.

15. MINI CHAMPION A&BThe qualified Team of Judges will elect one koi from the best in size winners of the 15bu. Winner will again be by votes.The Head Judge will have the final vote cast in the event of a tie.

J. OTHER RULES & REGULATION

1. Participants are not allowed to remove any kois from the Show Ground prior de-benching time , unless with the approval of theShow Chairman . Such permission will be given only for Koi that is found sick or in critically injured .

2. Participants or their handlers , are to ensure proper quarantine of each entry koi . Participants are recommended not to feedtheir kois 7 days prior to the show date . This is to prevent water fouling , which may endanger the health of the koi in thedisplay tank .

3. All kois may be removed from the show ground on the 17th June 2012 – Sunday after 6pm . The Show Officials will announcethe de-benching time . The Show Officials will not be responsible for any kois not collected after the specific closing time . ForInternational participants who need to send their koi back to their countries may leave at earlier time on 17th June, subject toapproval from the committee.

4. After judging is completed, all prize winners may check the score boards at the show ground, to ensure that the postings arecorrect. Should there be any discrepancies, please inform the show officials immediately .

5. In the event of a dispute, the Show Chairman and the Officials shall be the sole authority for the Interpretation of these Rulesand Regulations .

6. Please strictly observe the above Benching and De-benching requirements and any rulings that may be displayed at the showground , or announcement make on the day by the Show Officials .

7. Major prize winners will be entitled to attend Gala Dinner at Saturday, 16th June 2012 at 7.00pm at Ballroom Ritz Carlton Hotel– Jakarta. The ticket will be given by one name one ticket rule, which means one participant name could only get one ticketregardless the participant get more than 1 major prize.

8. The ticket for Gala Dinner with 26 judges from reputable breeders will be sold separately for those who are interested to join.The ticket price is Rp. 500.000,- / SGD 66 / RM 162 / USD 52

9. Prize Presentation will be carried out at the Show Venue on the 17th June 2012 – Sunday Noon. Participants are kindlyrequested to be properly attired when receiving prizes (No shorts and Slippers). All Prize winners are requested to be present,but for those who are unable to attend , they may nominate their handlers or another ADULT to collect the prizes on theirbehalf. The show Officials cannot be held responsible for any unclaimed prizes.

10. This rules and regulations are subject to be changed or amended. Any changes or amendment will be announced throughpublic release or during the show.
