The Foundation children did an absolutely brilliant job, speaking really clearly, showing their art work and singing lots of songs for their parents in their special Harvest assembly on Thursday. The church service was lovely and the children the children did themselves proud with their songs and readings. Thank you for all your generous donations for the Drop in centre. Thank you to Michelle Knowles and the PTA for serving tea, cake and biscuits. CHRISTMAS CARDS This week your child will be bringing home a picture and order form for Christmas cards. Thank you to the PTA for organising this fundraiser. SPOOKY DISCO The PTA will be hosting the Spooky Discos on Thursday the 24 th of October. These are always popular events. All the money raised at the discos is used to pay for Purple Mash, which is the software that we use to support delivery of our computing curriculum and for times table rock stars. Please see the attached flyer for information. Tickets can be purchased on Parentpay. THE LION KING Our PTA do a fantastic job fundraising for our school. Over the past two years, in addition to subsidising transport costs for school trips, the school has been reliant on the fundraising for essential resources for our school such as reading books, dictionaries, maths resources, atlases and computer software as well as the development of the garden area. We thought that it would be fantastic if this year fundraising was out towards a real treat for the children in our school. I am thrilled that we have managed to secure tickets for everyone to go and see the Lion King at the Alhambra in Bradford on the 3 rd and 10th of June. This is a brilliant show and will be a wonderful experience. The tickets would normally be £62 but we have secured them for £27.50 each and with transport costs it will be approximately £35 per child. As you can imagine this will mean a lot of fundraising to cover the trip. We are asking for a parental donation of £15 per child towards the costs, to be paid by the 20 th of November. Dear Parents,

THE LION KING

Our PTA do a fantastic job fundraising for our school.

Having spoken to a number of parents I know that there are many of you who would be willing and would like to make a larger contribution. There is an option on Parent-pay for you to do so, if you wish. The visit to the Lion King will be instead of our visit to the cinema in Penistone this Christmas. Thank you for your support.

I look forward to seeing you all at Parents Evening this week.

Best Wishes

Sally Adams
